One who she agrees with.
Hmm, perhaps one day I will find one that won't argue constantly with me, especially when he knows I'm right and is just too stubborn to admit it.
You are right.
OMG! A guy just admitted I was right!
Correct.

Haven't watched TV in ages. I have one, it just never gets turned on. My computer gets quite a bit of use though, as well as my books.
I agree though. There is great power in admitting someone is right.

Last person I knew who started to have a relationship over WoW ended up finding out that what she thought was a girl was really wierd guy who goes around servers trying to meet up with vulnerable young women.
WoW is by far more time consuming than Eve and this is coming from someone who played that game for over two years. .

Twould appear that they are the loser as someone who can admit that someone else is right is FAR from being a loser.

My wife left me last summer over eve, you know what i did ? I quit playing eve, got things patched up w/ her and gave HER some ATTENTION and we got right back together. I was playing WAY too much eve and not enough with her. That had to stop. You will find that to have the 2 best things in the world (eve and p***y) available to you at all times you must find a balance between eve and the p***y. Good luck finding yours :)

The trick is to open with "Yes you are right, I was wrong" and wait for the chance to spring what they did that was wrong on them as an extenuating circumstance.

Hey I never said 19yo dudes are a long term investment either. lol IMO nobody should get very serious until they've had a good handful of long term relationships (so like 24 or 25 YMMV).
Describe long term. Then I may agree with you.
A couple of 1 to 2 or 3 year relationships. Although I guess it's a moot point, because after 2 or 3 years, you are serious. lol Can't learn about life without first having lived it.
But IMO (and I think this would be both sides of the coin) people just don't really have enough experience until they're 24+ or something around that, depending on thier history. --------------------------- nethervoid - since '97 [UO|EQ|SB|SWG|PS|EVE|HZ|NWN|VG|WoW] |

Try over 30. 24 to 30 you are still trying to figure out who you are. I have been in 3 serious relationships. First was for 2 years and my first serious relationship as a teen. My 2nd was my first husband. I was 18 when I first met him and was with him until I was 30. Then the 2nd husband was my last, 9 years. Both husbands were *******s. Enough about that.
My point is that serious does not kick in until one truly knows what they want. In most cases, that is over 30.

I got a story though as long as we're on relationships. My best friend is an avid gamer like I am but his wife wasn't.
Well blah blah blah and yappity yap goes by and eventually he finds out she's cheating on him (he had me stake his place out while he was at work).
Long story short she proclaimed him a *******, left him for a sex offender who cheated on his first wife with his second and cheated on the second with her. We've got bets going on who cheats on who first.
It took about a year but he's realized that things are much better for him now. There wasn't a day that went by when she wasn't yelling or screaming about something, anything, no matter how small it was.
So things could always be worse.

Rumours of me disappearing off in a huff are unfounded :D Got called into work, kept me busy, not having time to think about it but i'm now so unbeliavably tired from 3 hours sleep in 3 days. NO MISSIONS TONIGHT!! :P
To answer your question above, I run missions because it's something I can do very well. I've bought a collection of nice ships to play with and after that, I give away stupid amounts of ISK to CAS members. I feel because of the times I get to play, I would be pretty useless for a corp and have no interest in smacking other players.

Yeah but in this case she left a good guy for a bad guy. He's got full custody of the kids, has had to have child services garnish her wages, and is rebuilding his life. Poor guy was super broken that year but I moved in to help take care of the kids and he eventually got over it. Still to this day she tries doing stupid crap to make his life hard but he just laughs at her...literally.

Sweety,
Nice guys don't want used up old cumdumpsters, they want the nice girl while she's still fresh and new (or close to it) like them. Seriously. If you are a girl, and you pick the bad boy, don't expect to get the nice guy later. You made your bed, now lie spread-eagle in it, and make sure to get checked for STD's regularly.
Some of us nice guys managed to find the nice girl and marry her already. Story of my life. Had a GF, she was a ho. She ended up taking up with numerous bad boys after leaving me. In the meantime I found me a nice girl, dated and got engaged to her.
One night, guess who calls? The old GF wanting to get back together. When she asks me what I'm doing...
Me: "Oh, just hanging out with my Fiance."
Old GF: "... Um.. Oh. Ok then, talk to you later."
Me: "smirk" *click*
10 years later, haven't heard from her since.
Just goes to show ya gals, snatch up the nice guy while you can, because if you wait, he'll be GONE.

where I live new and fresh means I need to hang around the middle school and even then it's a 50/50 chance. Not my cup of tea though.

1st of all, I'm sorry to hear about your past :(.
I don't want to come off as a jerk like the other guy, but if I may try to interject something constructive. Perhaps, it was your tastes that needed reforming. I'm not exactly sure where it is you live, but most western households are not abusive, so the odds of picking 2 in a row are, is rather slim.
I'm sure after those experiences you're thinking twice about any sort of relationship, but at some point you're going to start again and perhaps you should take more care in the future with regards to your selection process. Try to avoid those guys with those inner tempers, failure to control their anger, and/or control/power issues.

I live in the United States, West Coast. And while it is true that with most western hemisphere households this is unusual, it did occur. And you are right, it is my judgement in character that I call into question. This is why I am not currently looking to date anyone. I go out with my friends. That is enough for me now. One day I will decide to have a relationship again and when I do, I will be much more selective and be careful to avoid men who have anger/control issues and inner demons.
Thank you for your constructive critism. It is much appreciated.

Edited by: Rialtor on 09/01/2008 22:33:03 And to the TS...are you honestly saying that you wouldn't enjoy the prospect of being single for a while? It sounds like the relationship was really a hassle for you. You're working alot, and sometimes you just don't need a relationship on your hands all the time.
Nothing wrong with being single, I say enjoy it :).
