Dunno if this is known by everyone.
but i recently went on my alt and went into deep 0.0 and in the system i saw an icon suggesting a POI. i put my mouse over it and it said "Championship arena"
I then warped to it and to my eyes i see like 25 or so objects most of them were called forcefield array and it had small structures
i couldnt get close to it as the "forcefield array" kept pushing me back
it was weird.. does anyone know the purpose of this?

You may have found the arena where the Amarrian Emperor Championship was held a few months ago. A group of players was selected to fight in frigates to decide who the next emperor would be, if you're a newer player.Funny, I always thought it had been removed after serving it's purpose.
I could be mistaken, though. Wouldn't be the first time.

No, it wasn't.
It was held in "standard systems" (The finals may have been in polaris though).
The systems that were used were some of the systems very far away from empite, like the ones most to the east of Curse and most to the south of Stain.
Can be possible that they didn't remove the arena from one of the systems that were used.

that was the battlefield for the amarr champs. I guess they left it there for sentimental reasons.

well the arena is ingame in fact and is still operationnal  . It's however in very deep space 
I was thinking about making a little XIF frig tournament there but... erm... some recent events are going to delay this a bit 
Galaga (Galaxian - XIF corp) And yes, Olyyy is on our KOS list so she enjoys stirring the "flames" ( 2004.05.25 ) |
