was searching several sites to get a new GTC and my eye readed the following thing.

i knew of the china server, but now i think CCP forgot to mention to us several things. knowing the proudness CCP has for having the biggest 1 shard server i think they should give these guy a phone call.

actually shattered crystals wow subscription cards description is totally different so it is a tad weird.

Not that it matters but this was my exp:
If you are american and you fly to Iceland (fanfest) and try to use your credit card there to pay for Eve at an internet cafe, it does not work there is a block on US cards, yes even American Express.
If you try to log into WoW on a Icelandic Computer it won't let you log in due to the Launcher platform directing you to the Euro login (though the servers are all the same).

Wow, that's crazy. Why would it block you from US servers just because you're not in the US?
Aren't they just so that you're not stuck as a eurofg in a us dominated server? Guess there's some other reasoning behind it... :s

This is true. It's a security measure put in place by the card companies to protect themselves (and by connection, their customers). If you contact the company before traveling, though, they will lift the ban and your card will work fine.

Your american express card was likely rejected because of strickt(er) verification in most european countries. I used to work at a netcafT, and we had this happen constantly to certain types of non-eu issued cards. I did have a pensioner from Ohio come is one day with a bank-issued card (the ones where the bank logo is on the front), and that worked fine?
The reason Wow did not work is because there are different clients for US and EU servers. There are some configuration files that you can replace in the WoW-directory and it will work fine. I was showed how to do this, but not having done it myself in a while, I cannot remember exactly how to do it. (google it if needed).

Is this true of everywhere in Europe? The last time I was there, '99, I had no problem using my CC to buy things? Or is just a cafe limitation (which would be pretty weird).
