CCP charged me Ç5 to much the first month of my return.
The first month for returning old players is Ç9.95, but they charged me Ç14,95 anyways.
I did a petition on the Eve website and got a swift reply only two days later, if I wanted a refund or 10 extra days of play.
I read about poor CCP costumer service on this forum, so I thought I'd report good support for a change. 
This post is not sarcasm, I really do think my petition was handled very good.

No, not at all, like I said I got a fast reply back, with them offering to refund me or extend my playtime.

another great bit of news was the free year of play they gave a bunch of users effected by the boot.ini issue that called in after they pay 100$ to have someone look at their computer.

I spent hours on the phone to tech support for that issue and CCP never gave me nothing to compensate, did people really get free play time because of that?

While we're on the topic of good customer support.
I had 2 trial accounts, <name> and <name_trial>. <name> was my original trial from a few years ago. the <name_trial> was made to see what changed in EvE. I made a new character, played the 14 days and then subscribed. Unfortunately i subscribed the wrong account (name_trial). I petitioned if it was possible to move my character from the <name_trial> to the <name> account and rather activate the <name> account instead. I also commented that i am more than happy to pay the $20 character move charge if it was possible.
It didnt take a day when i got an email that my character was moved and the original account activated. After asking about the move fee, i was promptly told that it was free this time round.
Fast, friendly and good sports (for my own stupidity :P )

i did exactly the same thing, and CCP were more than willing to swop my gametime onto the onther account, providing i stopped logging in with the one the gametime was actually on.
in the end, i liked the new character i created more than my old one (he had a big chin  ) so i stuck with ry ry.
as companies go, CCP are one of the better ones. its unfortunate their player base are internetpeople.
