I'm 23 (24 soon!), I live in Washington State and work in the printing industry, specifically the pre-press side of things. I'm married to a wonderful woman but we don't have any kids yet. In Eve, I'm in Dreddit, the corporation from Reddit, which is the founding corporation for Test Alliance Please Ignore. You've probably heard of us, we're terrible at this game. I've been playing EVE seriously for 2 years and have accomplished a lot in that short time. I originally tried the game in 2005 and 2007 but the New Player Experience was terrible and I wasn't able to stick with it. Dreddit, being very newbie friendly, helped helped me learn about parts of the game that have no documentation and are confusing and since then I've been having a great time. I'm running so that I can help the CSM keep CCP focused on the type of improvements that made Crucible such a fantastic expansion. I'm hoping that it was just the beginning of even more great things headed our way. As the paying players who make EVE possible, we deserve the best experience that CCP can provide for us. I was very relieved to see that CCP was able to swallow their pride and change focus back to EVE and actual spaceships. This shows, to me, a sincere change and new found focus from CCP which is something we desperately needed. It's hard for a CSM candidate to promise specific changes, and I don't want to make promises I can't fulfill. I'm going to work my best to bring my ideas (and those of my constituetes, the players) to the relevant and interested developers so they can be best improved and worked on. I fully support the continued efforts to improve a few major areas of the game; the POS management system still need improvements, corporation and alliance management interfaces and mechanics need an overhaul, and I support the implementation of an alliance-based roles system. I know the CSM does not specifically add or remove features to the game, but these are a few of the major areas that I would like to work with CCP to improve and refine. Ship balancing is an aspect of EVE that needs constant attention and tweaks. Many small changes over time are better than large reactionary changes that might be "too much" and break things even further. A vote for me is a vote to continue relevant and necessary changes to build on the success of the Crucible expansion. We still have a long ways to go, but on the CSM I will work my hardest to get us as close as I can.

It's not necessarily the case, as Mod maintains, that the world's salvation comes from whims, irrationality, and delusions. On the contrary, Mod's language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind. That's pretty transparent. What's not so transparent is the answer to the following question: Whatever happened to Mod's sense of humanity? A clue might be that there are lots of weepy, wimpy flower children out there who are always whining that I'm being too harsh in my criticisms of Mod. I wish such people would wake up and realize that thoughtful people are being forced to admit, after years of evading the truth, that I have been right. I was right when I said that this is neither a document written in anger nor something I am being paid to write. I was right when I said that Mod's insipience disgusts me. And I was right when I said that Mod's hirelings have been running around recently trying to leave behind a wake of reckless reaction. Meanwhile, Mod has been preparing to place our children at imminent risk of serious harm. The whole episode smacks of a carefully orchestrated operation. If you ask me, Mod screams and cries whenever he's prevented from meting out harsh and arbitrary punishment against his adversaries until they're intimidated into a benumbed, neutralized, impotent, and non-functioning mass. I claim that if he stopped acting like such a big baby, maybe then he'd see that the spectrum of views between Maoism and Dadaism is not a line but a circle at which disreputable vermin and wanton, delusional parasites meet. To properly place Mod somewhere in that spectrum one needs to realize that Mod's eccentricity is surpassed only by his vanity and his vanity is surpassed only by his empty theorizing. (Remember his theory that he can be trusted to judge the rest of the world from a unique perch of pure wisdom?) Mod is not as purblind or fickle as you might think. He's more so. This is not the same as saying that his calumnies will cause more harm than good, although that, too, is true. He sees the world as somewhat anarchic, a game of catch-as-catch-can in which the sneakiest used-car salesmen nab the biggest prizes. Since I have promised to be candid, I will tell you candidly that if society were a beer bottleGÇösomething, I believe, that Mod holds in high regardGÇöhe would indeed be the nauseating bit at the bottom that only the homeless like to drink. Allow me to explain. A free and open society should be able to tolerate a diversity of beliefs and practices, even when they are at odds with his virulent philippicsGÇöperhaps especially when they are at odds with his virulent philippics. Over the years, I've enjoyed a number of genuinely pleasurable (and pleasurably genuine) conversations with a variety of people who understand that I call upon the entire free world to suggest the kind of politics and policies that are needed to restore good sense to this important debate. In one such conversation, someone pointed out to me that I believe in "live and let live". Mod, in contrast, demands not only tolerance and acceptance of his antics but endorsement of them. It's because of such prissy demands that I contend that if natural selection indeed works by removing the weakest and most genetically unfit members of a species then he is clearly going to be the first to go. Mod's sermons should be labeled like a pack of cigarettes. I'm thinking of something along the lines of, "Warning: It has been determined that Mod's tirades are intended to use paid informants and provocateurs to cause pain and injury to those who don't deserve it." What kind of loser wants to dominate the whole earth and take possession of all its riches? A loser like Mod. Mod wants me to stop trying to oust him and his profligate, gutless operatives from anywhere we find them undermining everyone's capacity to see, or change, the world as a whole. Instead, he'd rather I hang myself by the neck until dead. Sorry, but I don't accept defeat that easily. I was thinking about how he's a pathetic excuse for a human being. And then it hit me. I can't possibly believe Mod's claim that he can carry out "preventive operations" (that means "targeted killings") against his foes and get away with it. If someone can convince me otherwise, I'll eat my hat. Heck, I'll eat a whole closetful of hats. That's a pretty safe bet because Mod pretends to have the solution for everything. In reality, he creates more problems for the rest of us to solve.

I put quite considerable effort in to my post, it addressed the frankly poor and boring post, and asked "How do you think you're getting elected when you talk like that", seeing as the CSM for player/dev communication, much of EVE should be concerned about things like that. Communication skills are vital. There are many beep beeps, of many with no content you still decided to delete my post despite the small paragraph I provided, a massive nerd like myself tends to ramble on.I've explained what beep beep is, I'll tell you what censoring that is, bag of dicks if you'll excuse my French, I understand your position, but other posts on CSM threads say "I support this dude" are you deleting them? to keep this on topic, Dovi what do you think needs changed about supercapitals?

Read this dev blog and learn that there are also large software bottlenecks to overcome. 2) The PLEX economy is complicated, but in the end, high prices are enabled by vendors raising prices and people buying them at those high prices. 3) What exactly do you mean by '"end-game" nerfs'? Each player has their own endgame, other players have no idea of an endgame. Related questions are for Dovi: 1) Do you think that CCP should focus more on refining the back-end of EvE and the Carbon Engine? Do you think that this should take priority over other bugfixes or content development? 2) How much is 30 days of EvE worth to you in ISK? Is it CCP's fault for the high ISK prices? Thanks for answering and good luck in your campaign! 1) I'm pretty well convinced that CCP and Team Gridlock are committed to improving our gameplay from a performance point of view. It just so works out that a lot of the walls they're facing are coding issues -- throwing more RAM and processors around doesn't do a thing to solve the problem. If they can find a way to make processes use more than one core/cpu that will go a long ways towards improvement. Server hardware isn't the problem causing lag, it's legacy code with terrible documentation. They're doing what they can to figure out problems and work on them. Read Dev Blogs and you'll see plenty of evidence of this. 2) PLEX Prices are something that CCP should absolutely not interfere with. The sellers are going to charge what the buyers are willing to pay. This is simple economics. It's possible there's not enough isk sinks and Incursions are too profitable for the risk. I'm not really sure what the exact cause is, but prices will stay as long as people keep buying at the high prices. 3) This is something that was touched on in the last CSM Summit Notes. It can be a very touchy subject but I think it definitely needs some attention. I don't have an answer/solution by any means but I'm open to exploring.

Some areas need a complete re-write to fix things and that's fine -- it just takes a lot of time. Balance between performance fixes and gameplay bugs is absolutely necessary. Focusing on one and neglecting the other would end badly in my opinion. 2) If PLEX prices get much higher I might go back to paying in dollars for some of my subscriptions, but if they stay around where they are I'm happy enough. I'd LOVE to see 300m PLEX again, those were the good old days. But I think CCP absolutely should not meddle with the market. That's one thing that makes EVE unique over other MMOs. 3) I'd like to give this more thought before I respond. Grab me on Jabber and we can talk about it some more.
