Does anyone know where I can find a complete list of insurance costs for all ships?
I've Googled, EVE Searched, and scoured the forum and haven't found anything yet, but it has to be out there somewhere.

A list of base prices? How does that help him with insurance costs?
Please elaborate. Thanks.

The insurance costs and payouts are directly linked to the base price of the ship. Don't know the percentages tho.

With 100% being the listed base price in items database: 0% cost to insure it to 40%. 5% cost to insure it to 50%. 10% cost to insure it to 60%. 15% cost to insure it to to 70%. 20% cost to insure it to 80%. 25% cost to insure it to 90%. 30% cost to insure it to 100%.

Smashing thanks. Where did you get those percentages? Or did you just work them out?

Tech I or II it doesn't matter. All insurance is based on the % listed above and the base price.
Reason why T2 insurance is so crappy is because the market price is much higher.
Take Crow (T2 Inty) Base Price: 2.067 mil Market Price: ~12 mil
Insurance Payout: 2.067mil*100%=2.067 (platnum) Insurance Premium: 2.067mil*30%=620K (platnum)

Actually the reason T2 insurance is so crappy is because it doesn't take the T2 componants in to consideration just the minerals used to make the T1 version and then the morphite plus maybe a few other small mineral additions to take it to T2 not including the T2 componants :) ---------

I always thought T2 took everything into consideration, it's just that the materials themselves are far more expensive than their base prices. Then there's ME research taken into account. After all, as the above pointed out, the Base price on a Crow is 2.067. This is much higher than the value of the minerals that go into it, since they're mostly from the T1 ship, plus Morph. So they must be including the other items needed to build one.
So while minerals are more than their base prices, everyone and their uncle has researched their T1 ship BPOs to great effect, so the ships are now cheaper to produce then the base price (also add in that mining makes things "free"). But even if you bother to research a T2 BPO, the materials still cost much more than you could save.
If you bought all the materials at their listed base prices, it would actually cost that much to produce.
