Ok, I started playing about a year ago, but no one I knew had any interest in playing, so I stopped after about 2 or 3 months. Well, now I am back and I want to be able to try out some level 2 missions. I've been running level 1 missions in a Thorax for awhile (no challenge anymore) and I am saving up for a Myrmidon (which is going slow). Basically, I wanted to ask some questions because I am still a huge newb.
First, to even unlock level 2 missions, I just have to keep doing level 1's to gain standings right?
Second, when I finally get the Myrmidon, what should I put on it?
And last, how difficult are level 2 missions going to be in a Myrmidon?

to first:
there is as well a skill that increase your standing. It will be alot faster with it. Just train connections a bit, and level 2 agents should be ready for you.

2) Check out the sticky thread under Ships & Modules
3) IMHO a Myrmidon is quite a little overkill for L2s... You could do them well in a Vexor or Thorax.
L1 - Frigate/Destroyer
L2 - Cruiser/AF
L3 - BC/HAC
L4 - CS/BS
Some L4s can be done in a BC as well as some L3s may be doable in Cruiser.

A Myrmidon is overkill for lv2 missions. So much so in fact that you might even be able to do them faster in your thorax, just because it can fly faster.
I've done lv3 missions in both a thorax and vexor (note I do not have good combat skills). It took a while, and I had to warp out at least once on most missions, but it's doable.

I used a Caracal to speed run lvl 2 mission's, so as others have said a BC's is overkill.
