Hello i have a few questions about Eve Fitting Tool, if anybody is familiar with this program could you please answer me
1. What is defense efficiency and how is it calculated? i know what is sustained and reinforced mean, but i dont know how is it calculated.
2. Can 1000 dps blasteron kill something with 500 defense efficiency and with 1005 defense efficiency?
and yeah, when i try to add shield tank and armor tank at same time it doesnt add either one of them into formula. therefore it doesnt count shield recharge rate when you armor tank

its how much dps you can tank with the selected damage spread. default is a uniform spread across the 4 types. if your blasterthron has 1000dps and tries to kill something that can tank 1005 dps of the proper therm/kin spread then the blasterthron will run out of ammo and be unable to kill its target

if you look in the folder there is a frequently asked questions readme file....which i think answers your question if im not mistaken (latest version)

it doesnt add shield recharge to an armor tank cause when you are armor tanking your shield isnt helping to sustain your tank, it only acts as a buffer before you turn your repper on... dont fit a shield and armor tank either... it will just get you killed

Right-click the tanky icon and you can futz with the damage spread selected. Also, note that effective HP (up near the top) uses the same damage spread. Setting it all to one damage type may help if you plan on facing Titans, and a mix of a couple to help calculate ratting/mission tanks.

not exactly true. People tend to forget that sometimes their tank uses cap boosters to run, which run out a good deal quicker than ammo.

True, but people forget that you don't always hit as well.
Basically, recieved damage is preety much almost guaranteed to be smaller then EFT damage, while tank numbers are *fairly* accurate if you do custom damage profiles vs specific targets.
