à A man enters a sacred cathedral on Oris covered in blood which is evidently not hisà à As the honorable guards of the cathedral are rushing to stop him, he turns around and in a frenetic voice starts to address the audienceà
ôBrethren, before you stands a fallen one.ö
à A reverent silence fills the cathedral, and even the guards stop to hear the man outà
ôFor years I have been a follower of the occult and misguided ways. I have murdered and mutilated hundreds, yes even thousands, either out of sheer lust for blood instilled in me by my days with the unholy cultist that is Omir Sarikusa or out of a twisted and insane logic that Sanchas subhuman slaves fed me.
The selfish slaughter continued for years and I was enjoying it like the animal I was. Four weeks ago while torturing a righteous follower of the Empire I suddenly stopped. Unable to continue, unable to breathe, incapable of even thought.
A blinding light filled my mind, a burning light, an agonizingly just light. The Almighty himself must have sent an angel to deter me from continuing my sacrilegious path.
Still blinded and encumbered in burning divine light the angel spoke to me in a mightful voice:
ôFallen one, the eternal servants of God, the rightful masters of man, the Emperors of the golden Empire have sent me to bring you on the path of God.
They have chosen you Pharos Dei the sinister angel of torture, death and sacrilege to stand true to the name given to you by your amarrian parents and become GodÆs beacon of light!ö
The angel continued in a now even more fervent tone: ôRepent your sins against the divine and his blessed peoples the Amarr! Carry out the word of God! And lay down terror and destruction on those that refuse to see his glory!ö
ôIt is only after completing your task that the Almighty shall free you from the burning rage lurking inside your soul and welcome you in his divine kingdom in the heavensö
And with that the burning light was gone and I found myself with a blade in my hand I was going to use to disembowel my prisoner with. But not anymoreà
Having had this epiphany I knew what to do, minutes later my fellow brother was in safe. In a daring quest through the reaches of the Delve region I managed to drop him off at a hospital in the first enlightened system in reach, Sakht.
But my quest had only begun.
For four long and arduous weeks have I been slaughtering the stubborn cultists I used to call brethren, thousands of their ships have fallen to my cleansing beams of justice. And this was only the beginning.
With that ordeal completed I was able to start my greatest journey so far, the voyage to this cathedral in the divine system of Amarr.
I now stand before you my brethren, asking you to forgive my pervious failures and giving me the opportunity to fulfill my God-given assignment along side you.ö
à With this the man finishes his speech, awaiting his brethren response eagerlyà

An interesting tale, Pharos.
Tell me, are you willing to pay for your past crimes?
Are you willing to accept whatever punishments the Priesthood and the Inquisistion deem necessary to purge your soul?
Are you willing to denounce all Blooders, no matter who they are and where they may be?
Are you prepared for loyal Amarrians who have stayed true to their faith to treat you as the lowest of the low?
Do you accept that submission is not a sign of weakness but of respect?
If you can answer yes to all of these question, then there may still be hope for your soul.
Dulce et decorum est pro imperium mori.

Tell me, are you willing to pay for your past crimes?
Yes
Are you willing to accept whatever punishments the Priesthood and the Inquisistion deem necessary to purge your soul?
Yes, I accept the Priesthood and the Inquisistion as the highest authority on this plane of god's kingdom, only surpassed by the Emperors of Light
Are you willing to denounce all Blooders, no matter who they are and where they may be?
Yes, their false ways are not mine anymore, and they shall be made to see the light or be consumed by its flames
Are you prepared for loyal Amarrians who have stayed true to their faith to treat you as the lowest of the low?
Yes, as they have been wandering the path of light longer than I can even envision at this moment. I shall follow their sacred example
Do you accept that submission is not a sign of weakness but of respect?

I think you missed one:
Are you willing to listen to more Rodj's pedantic ramblings?
*ahem*
My congratulations to you for taking steps towards turning your life around. Before throwing yourself to the mercy of those around you I would suggest the following:
You'll notice all of Rodj's questions were focused on outward issues. Declaring this, accepting judgements from those around you, etc. You will not (nor should) find salvation through the respect of acceptance of others. These matters are often best dealt with personally and through a careful examination of self. Finding forgiveness or acceptance through others can only ever be temporary, for it is your own personal relationship with the Lord that matters above all else.
I wish you success.

In my experience, drugs have the greatest effect on Minmatars. My neighbor used to jnject his slaves with Vitoc and deny them daily dose of antidote, then watch them dance in pain. It was quite amusing until the Amarr Civil Service fined him and took his slaves away for slave cruelty, as cruel as it sounds. Ah good ol' childhood ~

When were you ever a Minmatar? When were you ever a Minmatar, on drugs?
Vitoc has the exact same effect on Amarr as it does on Minmatar. "This one time, at the academy, this guy accidentally injected himself - he died"

This is simply sick.
In any case, and returning to the topic in hand, a complicated path stands before you. A path of suffering and learning, or repenting and accepting one's sins. And, finally, of cleansing. I wish you luck and will on it if you have the right mind, or to burn in Hell if you don't. Time will tell which is the case.

I didn't expect this from you, Pharos. Your treachery and weakness are rather disappointing.
Do you think that sparing a subhuman animal from the knife and killing a few dozen of our non-egger allies will redeem you in the eyes of the Empire? What about in the eyes of God?
Death is too kind a fate for an apostate like yourself. After your apprehension by our agents you can look forward to an eternity of excruciating pain and torture. Consider yourself lucky that that theiving trollop Catiz Tash-Murkon took my Holy Star when she and her cronies helped themselves to my estate.

I'm severely disappointed to find you prostating yourself before these pathetic, delerious, old men.

Heh you forgot the mention the fact that only Amarr Empire has the cure to current version of Vitoc, while the Federation and Republic are still feverishly searching for its cure. The cure of course, is tightly guarded and only used when slaves revolt and inject Vitoc in their masters in rare cases.

I was about 6 years old at the time. I saw the slave rolling and jumping up and down while screaming. I was amused and did not know he was suffering from great deal of pain. Certainly I would have put a stop to it now if I encountered such a thing again.

Khanid II taught us well.
Indeed Khanid II taught us well. Of course I know your statement was meant in the opposite direction but I think it is out of place to warm up old discussions. You know my arguments. I have no idea why you put such an off topic theme into this thread and for the sake of goodwill I will not react to this provocation.
I have offered the benefit of doubt and I said time will tell. I think that's more than generous especially if we look at a statement such as
Quote: Once a blooder, always a blooder.
I guess in this very moment you have some internal problems to solve as long as you care for the reputation of senior PIE members.
If you welcome a (ex-) Blooder who claims he had contact with angels into your ranks then it is not my credibility that might suffer. I pray for you, Gaius Kador, that this time you will have more success converting former blood Raiders than you have had in the past. Good luck.

Actually I disagree, Mr Wolff. True loyalty to the Empire means that you know your place, you respect your elders, your Holders, and your Traditions. Traditions and laws are there for a reason, and many were even dictated or suggested by God in his Scriptures. Defying them is defying God. Only the Emperor, directly chosen by Him, can take steps in that direction.
Khanid II betrayed his Faith and his place in the universe. Selfishly too. His insurrection didn't help at all the Empire, didn't save it in any way. In fact, quite the opposite, it fueled the possibilities of the Minmatarr and their rebellion, weakened the Imperial Navy and weakened the size and power of the Empire in number of planets, population and stations.
But it will all be set right, in time.
