Alright, I've been playing for a while, but now I'm doing some missions, and as usual Eve is making it hard for me to understand (I wonder if that's why i like this game so much :) )
So my standing with the Uni of Caille (my bosses right now) is around 1.05 and 2.70 with connections 4. I'm working my way up to level 3 agents. Now I've just upgraded from a quality -17 lvl 2 agent (0 with negotiation) to a 0 (26 with negotiation) lvl 2 agent.
Could someone tell me where i could find info on what it is that quality does, specifically, and if someone could explain to me what is agent standing and how it differs from corp standing (as in my standing to the uni)and agent quality

Im not an expert in the subject as it is quite complex. However, heres how I believe it works. Quality specifically effects the rate at which you recieve import missions (missions that alter your faction standings). Effective quality takes into account your standings with that agent as well as any skills that may add points to your agents quality. So look at quality as the base line and effective quality as the agents quality plus your standings and skills. Ultimately, the effective quality will dictate how often you get faction missions as well as rate of pay and bonus' .

I also noticed that the higher the effective quality, the less jumps you get in missions. Not sure if this is a rule or not though.

I also noticed i get better pay and rewards from quality -17 lvl 2 agent, than quality 4 lvl 2 agent.-17 and 4 is a big diference isnt it? yup there is big diference in rewards too :] what you would prefer: 6 hammerheads or 20 units of livestock? yeh i would take 6 hammers too :]
