Edited by: Titan AE on 21/03/2004 18:05:42 Edited by: Titan AE on 21/03/2004 18:04:50 Hi Everyone,
I am interested in mabey using a few accounts to do agent missions. I am working right now for the Amarr Navy, I like the kill missions but with 2 lvl 2 agents of ajusted quality of about 25 I am still only getting about 30k-60k a mission. I need to make at least 150k per mission for it to be worth while.
Can anyone here suggest to me how it might progress from here in terms of getting better agents and standings? I play about 10 hours a day : )
Can I make 150k per mission on average with a lvl 3 agent?
Will doing kill missions in lower sec space (.4 and down) get me tougher and thus more profitable kill missions?
I have a bunch of offices in Aridia, I'd like to use them for missions only but they are in low sec. space. How much friction does running agent missions get from PKers as compared to mining in the same systems? Will I be shot at often in Aridia do you think?
P.S. have trained up the important sorts of skills, empathy, social, connections and negotations.
Please any advise is welcome, but the main thing I wonder is how much a decent lvl 3 agent pays and how long the average mission is.
Thank you in advance : )

Edited by: Styrmir on 21/03/2004 18:49:53 Edited by: Styrmir on 21/03/2004 18:49:22 My lvl 3 agent pays around 60k-80k as a base reward. Then time rewards (if cash) are around the same (60k to 80k). Then it drops all sorts of sellable stuff including occasionally high level skills and implants worth million. Also we can't forget that the bounties on the kill missions can be from 30k to 100k
So I would say they do pay enough for you :-)

Edited by: Sylaan on 22/03/2004 08:03:25 The security status of the system does not matter. Actually, you want it to be as high as possible so the angent wont send you to a 0.4 system where you can be attacked by PC pirates.
Yes, you can make 150k per mission for an agent, and much more than that. What you need is a high quality agent (30+). Also decent standing, Connections skill helps with that (you should have it at atleast 3). Then if you want to maximize your mission rewards you should work for a military corporation. If you do that, you'll get mostly kill missions. I work for Caldari Navy and I get 95% kill missions. Within a maximum of 2 jumps, never more (agent quality is 34 at the moment). With this is not unusual to get a mission with reward 70-100k, bonus 70-110k and in which you have to kill something like 3x34k, 1x85k and 2x35k, 2x75k. Not to mention loot. My best was 340k or so in one mission and a named 250mm rail.
And of course, there is the chance of the odd implant every now and then. But you need a cruiser to do those missions, and a high-end one too I would say. Anything less would make it ... somewhat dangerous for you

Hmm, with the thought about the price people sell construction components for on the market/trade you should think agent missions is one of the most lucrative jobs in EVE atm.

Thanks for all the help guys : )
On the topic of tech II building components, I looked at those on the market and most were 9000isk per or so. Does anyone know which components are the most valuable or if there is any other source than the market to find prices for them?

The demand for components is dependant on the current TechII Bps being produced. It's not an easy thing to find out their mineral requirements.
Generally, the region your agent drops the goods in is the worst place to sell them.

Heh, nerf em backwards so you have to work up to a lvl 4 to get back to where you were eh? They still haven't learned that doing that too much is what makes people quit playing mmogs in the long term. Nobody wants to play a game called "Nerf it so you can get it back again, wheee!".

I read a post by Papa Smurf a while back which said differently. He stated the lower the system sec status the better the rewards. Things may have changed since then but I havn't read as such.

well that isnt really fair since some agents/corps are only in some area's and they keep changing sec of quite a few systems plus this info would have been nice from the start, so that ppl would work with the agents they want to in the right sec area's support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo
