Just curious as to what is the best way for me to make the most isk / hour. I have like 2.3mil sp and I am fitting a Brutix. So I don't have any advanced equipment or abilities so it has to be something basic. What / where / what sec would be the best way for me to make isk? Right now I am just running Level 2 missions and probably make 500k, 1million a run.. with salvaging. Seems kind of slow.. some people talk about 7mil+ an hour.

keep at the missions till you build standing up to do levels 3's.
also look to see if there are agents with better standings about as they give greater reward.

Some advice to consider:
1. As was mentioned before...Keep grinding those missions, you will eventually get to level 3 missions and the payout will increase. This leads us to...
2. Keep looting and salvaging. It may not seem like much, but it adds up. If you havent trained up to use salvagers, do so. Spend a few million isk and buy a destroyer, fit it with tractor beams/salvagers/cargo expanders and start looting all of your missions (when you get to level 3's...salvaging level 2's and under is debatable on whether it makes sense).
3. Take your time. Wealth in EvE normally grows exponentially. If you are making 1million per mission or so, and it takes you 30 minutes to do that mission (lets just say) then you are as of now making 2 million isk per hour. Soon, when you hit level 3's you may bump that up to 5-10 mil per hour with loot/salvage/bounties/payout/LP's. But keep in mind...take your time and do not progress to the next level until you are confidant that you can handle the missions and that you have the gear/skills to do it with. It is much more profitable to run level 3's in your brutix and make 5-10 mil per hour than to die in 1 level 4 and lose your brutix violently and lose the millions you invested in it, plus the cost of a new one.

the fastest way to gain isk as a newbie is to join a corp.
Example. You join a corp who does a lot of high sec missioning. Chances are, there's a mission runner out there who do not like to salvage. You can follow him/her around doing mission 4 and salvage. Even if you split the profit 50/50, that's much more isk you're going to get in days running missions.
Grouping is the best/fastest way to make isk. Unless you're really determined to solo, your best move is to get into a corp. Eve University is a good one if you're looking for good people to teach you the game. Miner for hire Click here to see profile |

buy and sell. I still grind missions, but really started making isk when I learned to play the market. People whine on the forums about a commodity, check it out, maybe buy it. My first score was a 100% move on megacyte. Now I make 500M++ a month on contract plays, and it takes very little time.

Trade. You can grind up standings with your character in a Brutix then start up a trade alt or train up trade skills on your main and get some experience with trading. You do need a capital of at least 50-80 mil ISK first (100-200 would be optimal) for which you can do missions.
Trading is not everyone's thing though - some people suck at trading, some find it excruciatingly boring, others simply love it and make several billion a month through it. I advised some newbies in a corp I was in to start up trading. One of them took his 180 mil and make a billion in about a month, another guy just couldn't piece it together, didn't really understand what to do, so he went back to mining.

And stay out of low-sec/0.0 if you're doing missions on your own, a few pirate corps have specialized in scanning down missionrunners and make their life miserably.

Train social and connection to at least 3, it will allow you to access better agents.
And concentrate with 1 corporation till you have a good standing with them and you can run the best level 3 agents for that corporation.
With your skill probably a brutix is a bit weak in level 3 mission, so learn the difference between the level 3 missions and, when you reach them, do only those that can be resolved easily with guns.
With level 3 missions the resistances become important (and they are vital in level 4 mission), more than the number of hp your ship has, especially for armor tankers, as you will be using cap to repair your armor.

I recommend missions. If your skills are too low for lvl 3 or 4 combat, you can run many lvl 3 and 4 couriers in a frigate. In low sec, these missions pay well (more than 600K iskies per mission). yes, they are boring, but they are easy, low risk cash.

Find one of the numerous 0.0 sec corps that recruit new players. Make sure it's a corp that has 20% or less taxes, and go reap the rewards of 0.0 space ratting. You'll eventually go numb doing missions anyways, and a 0.0 corp will give you opportunities in PvP (nice loot here as well) you won't get else where. A T1 fitted battleship can rat with ease, and you could recoup the costs of buying one in less then a week of ratting.
If you want to carebear a little longer, I suggest you invest in a research alt character and learn how to churn out BPC's. You can fund the initial BPO purchases with your mission character, and let the alt run copies for a decent revenue stream that you can make while never leaving a station.
The real money in this game is made in trade and BPC's. The sooner you get into one of these fields the faster you'll get into some real ISK. It's boring as heck though, which is why I suggest finding that 0.0 corp for some PvP action while the BPC's are baking in the oven.
