Like in the topic, when the installer asked me where to isntall i typed : /usr/lib/EVE/ and went to sleep cause it downloaded stuff for 3 hours. Then i got up and saw that there is nothing, so i thought that installation is complete. Can't run the installer 2nd time 'cause it's looking for patches etc. So how can i launch eve ^^ ?

Open a terminal window then type:
ls /usr/lib/Eve/
Search for something in the listings that looks like an executable file then type
sh eve
...or whatever Eve is called... you can make a link to the file pretty easily with the major GUI's (KDE/Gnome) |

Actually now taht i look at the logs i didnt manage to install eve ... when i type "eve" in console i get the following response :
Quote: bash-3.1# eve Multi-user install... CEDEGA_PATH is /usr/lib/EVE This is the update checker... Running /usr/lib/EVE/.updater/cedega_updater.py /usr/lib/EVE/.updater/gddb.py:26: RuntimeWarning: Python C API version mismatch for module gddb_parser: This Python has API version 1013, module gddb_parser has version 1012. import gddb_parser
Anyone ? I can't play eve on windows and slackware is my only hope. I read that not only slackware distribution has this problem, so its kinda global and would like to be able to play eve once again, especially on slackware, but not on wine

This is NOT useful. Disregard.
To OP, it looks as if you did manage to install eve but you are having some problems with the python version installed.

Try downgrading your python package possibly?
Using Slackware here and i have the following packages installed: pycairo 1.4.0 pygtk 2.6.3 python 2.4.3
I downloaded the installer and everything installed perfectly.
If you only have 1 version of eve installed, you can launch it by typing eve in a console (or creating a shortcut) and eve -config to configure it
If you require more than 1 version to be installed (multiple clients) then there are already several threads on this forum on this subject with the exact steps on how to install, launch, configure eve for several clients. They have slipped to page 2 or 3 but you will be able to find them easily.
