Yes, it's another long story :)
Right, after a somewhat quiet day I'm buzzing around in my Rifter and find a mackinaw and his hauler buddy in a non-station system, fairly quiet system as well. I warp in and find that both are 2004 chars so I gotta be careful a bit, I flip the guy's can (14 ice) and then destroy my own can, just to get him nicely heated up.
As predicted the guy targets me and sicks his 5 medium drones onto me, as he has some OK droneskills I need to bail after killing 1 of them as I was way too close because of the can flip. I JUST make it out and am half in structure before limping to the next-door system to repair. I do so, return and find that nothing has changed; he's still mining and his hauler is still sitting there. All that changed is that he now has 4 drones :)
So I get into his targeting range and wait for things to happen, this time I'm better prepared and am able to take out 3 drones without too much trouble, I rush back to the Mackinaw (the whole drone kiting took a bit), scramble the Mack and kill off the last drone and start working on it's shields.
Later on it turns out he's using a small T2 SB so it takes a while, I have to reload which gives him back shields... @#$@!, his hauler alt is still sitting next to me for some reason. After reload I'm back on track and doing well. Then his hauler alt leaves system, so I just know what's going to happen. When I have him in 20% structure I open a convo with him saying that if he wants to keep the Mack he should keep any alts or corpmembers out of the system.
Stupidly enough I stop shooting otherwise I'd destroy him and I'd like to get a nice fat ransom... So I try to keep his shields down a bit by firing just 2 guns. Then I see his other char enter local again and add the 3rd gun, i guess he doesn't want to pay any ransoms. At that point I'm struggling a bit as I have to reload again and I see a raven appear on the scanner... oh sh!t.
The raven enters the belt and it's indeed the alt, so I'm frantically yelling at my screen for my weapons to have reloaded to kill off the Mack, but the Raven doesn't fire... I didn't realize why but I was damn happy about it. Then the Raven opens fire with EM cruises which doesn't hurt me a whole lot but I can't sustain it ofcourse. As the Mackinaw is THIS close to explode suddenly... there's an explosion...
I have NO idea what just happened but I kill off the Mack and then pan around, what I see is a Raven wreck and a bunch of CONCORD guys munching on doughnuts after a job well done. Then I realized; the whole shooting, leaving system, repairing, going back, shooting, him leaving system and coming back.... took more than 15 minutes!
I check the Mackinaw wreck and it's nothing fancy, just an Ice Harvester II and some crap. Then I go to the Raven wreck...

get alt, scout for said alt at the gates and move it to Amarr...
Dumdiedum, turns out this was a nice day afterall.

I would attempt to call liez all over your post cause i think those 2 mods use up more cargo then the rifter has, but im stick in jita so carnt :( ill let you off for now.

Volume on the amp is 5m3, the SB is 50m3. The launchers take up 20m3 each, but all of a sudden I didn't find those THAT important and moved those on my second wreck run.
If you don't believe me you can always chedk my bio and buy the items for the listed price, just to be sure :)

The Mackinaw/Raven pilot was stupid and died for it. Using a Mac to attack a combat ship over 14K of ice = stupid. Attacking you with his drones when he didn't have tackling gear and then just staying in the same place after you left with an agro timer running = really stupid. Attacking you with a faction fit Raven without making sure the agro was still on = supremely stupid.
The Mac pilot wasn't paying attention in the first place or he wouldn't have had 14 ice in a can with the hauler just sitting there doing nothing. You got him hot and bothered enough to do some really silly things.
In EVE, you're smart or you're dead. Gutsy moves from the OP who WAS paying attention.
