So before I decide which transport to train up for, I'd like to know which is the best at doing what it's meant to do. Which is run blockades, of course
The Prowler with it's higher velocity, larger cargo, smaller sig radius and lower mass; or the Viator with the extra lowslot, better CPU and grid? What do you think?

The Shild resitances on the prowler are also quite impressive. I think Prowler is a very good blockade Runner because of the Speed/low Mass and the low Sig. Since I canŠt fly a Viator I canŠt compare both ships but you get the Iteron MK V on the Viator way so this is a big plus when it comes to pure mŠ hauling. So I would mostly decide on the question if you need a Iteron MK V or you can live with a Mamoth/Mastodon. ---- Nerf Tank - Boost Gank!

After thinking about it, I really haven't had much use for a lot of cargo in space in the last couple of years. While the Iteron V is enticing, it's just not all that useful for me. So I'm mainly concerned with which transport will provide more safety in hostile territories.
Assuming that the Prowler can be fitted with everything in needs to do it's job, I guess it would come down to if the extra lowslot on the Viator makes up for it's downsides.

The Amarr transports have the most flexibility, and with the MWD/Cloak method of getting out of places - its all about the same. The prowler cannot out-run an inti, it warps 0.1 seconds faster then the next best ship (Amarr) which is not much.
I would go for the Amarr ones, they are the most useful. Now you mayy want to look into the Crane too - the caldari agil boost affected these ships too and may actually be better. But I say the Amarr one because if you are just hanging around empire space, you can fit cargo expanders, if you want to go low sec, nano and I-stabs, and so on. . .the flexibility is far greater then any other.

Well I did look at the Amarr ones when comparing them side-by-side, and both the T1 and T2 industrials seemed inferior to the Minmatar and Gallente ones in most categories. Slower, heavier, bigger... all bad things for a hauler (and especially a BR), right? And the Caldari industrials are the slowest, biggest and heaviest so I am not sure the extra agility is really helping things too much.

Heh, obviously. But then that leaves my wondering... two nanofibers / two low-friction nozzle joints? Or all-out mass reduction? Polycarbs seem like a good idea but with the stacking nerfs I wonder if they're really all that useful after a couple of nanos, and the idea of using Inertia stabs bugs me all around.
