I really really want to be able to queue skills for training. It's a bit of a pain to have lvl III of something taking 14 hours to train when you are either playing for 2 hours or not playing again until tomorrow. Having a queue of skills to train would allow this skill to be trained overnight and then another skill to be trained automatically after it is finished. Be great for short skills!

Personally I would like to see a skill queue, though it might be difficult to convince CCP, or the vocal minority. I do not think that a queue would do much to unbalance the current skill system. It would be of great value to the lower skills that finish in minutes to hours. Since even I must sleep, but sometimes I fall asleep before remembering I need to start a new skill. A skill queue has been requested from various people since retail.
Back in Beta I know I posted an idea for revamping the skill system, to incorporate Teaching skills to players, or using someone with a teacher skill to speed training for X number of active students. This of course was passed on, since it is not here. I would have valued a corp role that was geared for instruction and teaching, you could get an instructor skill, and so long as you had level 5 in that skill you could teach it to someone who did not have that skill already. Or with teacher skills you could improve the speed that your students learned the skills. You could charge fees for teaching and thus it would be a valid money maker for small corps or freelancers, or anyone for that matter. (alas this was not to be)
sorry I did not mean to hijack your thread, I just wouldn't get your hopes up too high. Though it would be nice.

Or.. since you can already view your skill tree and skill progress on the website, what about being able to start training from the webbie too?
I cant "play" at work, so I have to VNC home, launch EVE, open the skills panel and start training. With my PoS connection, this whole operation takes about an hour. I can still do it remotely, it just sucks, so why not do it easier from the website?

It all boils down to: "I do not want to lose time training."
I say: Take care of it yourself, plan your training. - All of us have lost an hour here or there. Swallow it, tis part of the game ____________________________________________________

Thats not true. It all boils down to, "I don't wanna have to spend all day playing the game just so I can get sharpshooter III and Laser physics III and I don't wanna waste my training time either"

For an extra charge of $20 amonth you get a better Web access where you can; change your skills; check the market; make escrow ;buy and sell orders; do ingame eve-mail; have corp chat; have channel access; play with you hangar in station if you are in station.
This would be call Permium Access!!!! --------------------------

So only adult or people with enough monedy could afford it ;-p
No thank. I'm a student high grade and I'M not interested to double or even triple my fee to use already existant features or more *hot features*.
And plus it would change the fact that everyone started on even feet. Nice links (updated 20 Dec 04): BP, bugs about them. (\_/) (O.o) (> <) This is Bunny. Copy Bunny into your signature to help him on his way. |
