Greetings from EVE TV o/
We're fully engaged in preparing for the upcoming 5th Alliance Tournament to be broadcast once again LIVE and FREE direct from Iceland starting at the end of Feb: (more details here).
Once again as part of our broadcast we will have spots available for player made adverts. In the past this has been rather last minute so we're trying to give you a big heads up this time so that we really have a great selection to show during our transmission. The Alliance Tournament broadcasts over 2 weekends, 6 days of the show in all with at least one daily break each day and several more opportunities to show these videos on top of that. This is a great way to show off your corp/alliance/web site/service to over ten thousand EVE players in a way simply not available anywhere else. What I am trying to say here is this: it's worth doing just to show yourselves off  .
Please read the rules and directions below then send your entries to [email protected]. Make sure you include a LINK to DOWNLOAD your movie in the email, do not send it as an attachment.
General Rules
All video and AUDIO material must be Eve related.
All music and sound effects must be from in game, due to copyright issues we can not and will not accept anything else.
The item/service being advertised must be Eve related.
The advert must be suitable for all ages (no swearing/nudity).
Content must be respectable and suitable for broadcast, aka it can not be "lol these guys suck".
We have the final say on these issues - if your video is rejected we will say why and your welcome to try to fix it.
Technical Rules
720x576 Resolution, PAL aspect ratio. This is important, please get it right (pleasepleasepleaseplease).
30 Seconds long MAX.
Any codec will do as long as you get it to me by the 10th of Feb. I'm willing to sort through the barrage of issues that will cause while we don't have to panic about getting the live show ready but after this date all submissions will have to be wmv.
Copyright issues repeated
This comes up every time so this will be the final ruling and comment on it.
All audio must be from the game, this includes music and sound effects bar recording your own voice.
All Video must be in game or of your own creation completely.
Thats it, no checking with lawyers on copyright laws, no researching the particular clip you have used because its free for public use; not happening sorry. I know that may be annoying but I don't have the time to go through it all and trust me you're not the only one bothering me about it  .

As mentioned you can use any of Eve's music and sound effects as well as any music by Realx.

I'm a generous guy. For the biggest ad space known to Eve, you will pay a grand total of..
Nothing.
There is no fee or cost to submitting an ad.

Need an answer on this ASAP Loxy. Some of us can make our own music/FX from our own recordings etc.

For the record, I get really really excited about player-made commercials on EVETV. I think they're great, and I wish there were much, much more of them. |
