In the ensuing brawl, their motherships barely escaped in time, but many of their carriers weren't so lucky: Final tally was about 80 BoB losses to about 28 Goonswarm/allied losses. Oops! Better luck next time, BoB. Oh, and one of those carriers was loaded down with faction and deadspace loot. But hey, I'm sure you didn't want that region anyway.

The thing about Kestrels is you always need to shoot them when you see them. They have one of the largest cargo bays for frigates and all the isk farmers that CCP has done nothing about use them to move stuff around (since training for a Vigil would be too much effort). When I make the extra effort to find and kill a Kestrel I'm usually pleasantly surprised by the pinata candy.
