I've heard many people say Caldari are underpowered and are especially bad at mining. Mining IS the thing I want to concentrate early on...
SO my question is: should I start a new character (only 3 days into playing this one), or will Caldari be fixed soon?
If you sugdgest to start a new char... which race is most versatile and balanced between mining and fighting? --------------

Any character can have a good balance between mining and fighting. It all depends on what skills you decide to train. As for creating a new character, you should pick the school that focuses (industry) on it. Depending on what your attributes are your currenct character could easily become a good miner in a very short time. If you would like some pointers, feel free to contact me in-game...

Amarr have the best mining BS and Gallente have the best mining cruiser. Caldari are more specialised in EW (Electronic Warfare)... But u can learn to fly what ever ship u want!

Wouldn't training Different ship skills and different weapon skills take more time & money than simply creating a different character?
I'm only 10 hours into the game. --------------

No. It takes a few hours to train a new skill, and you're going to need to spend over a week to get BS skills anyway. So it doesn't matter. 10 hours is enough to train all the other race frigate skills PLUS their gunnery skills too. Don't worry. Its very fast--its training things to high levels that takes a while.

Yes, toss that caldari to the curb, create a new character and get a decent name, check out the different agents and mould yourself after them, trust me you'll feel all better about it later.
You could even get into our little group with the slightest effort in that department.

Make sure you understand that your characters attributes affect skill training time and that they need be a good fit for what you want to do. You do not want to realize a few months from now that you wanted to be a fighter type and have pumped your charisma at creation.
