TBH, I would pick any of the other cruisers over the Augoror. It's best suited for support rather than combat.
Ignore that if you especially want to fly the Augoror.

Edited by: Trevor Warps on 16/01/2008 22:56:05 Well i never flown one but i understand the desire of flying odd ships. You can look at the 'Slasher Madness' thread ;)
So, i would say to start with a armor plate, like a 800mm or a 1600mm if possible. The Augoror got a hp bonus/lvl, right ? So it could turn itself into a huge floating hp chunk. I guess some armor resist modules then, and maybe a small rep, powergrid aint quite high i think on it.
Then strap some other assorted mods to fill you needs. Maybe 3 small lasers and a tractor beam.
That's what i'd do anyway.
Edit : I forgot to say that the damage output will be quite crap with that fit, but thats obvious.

Edited by: Trevor Warps on 16/01/2008 23:01:18 Ohhh man I just seen that 5 m3 drone bay and the remote rep range bonus.
Maybe try this :
fit a remote rep, then decent laser beams (yeah beams, you ll be so dang slow) and some cap recharge mods and a light tank. The rest doesnt matter that much.
Send the drone ASAP to the rats for them to shoot it. Stay in range for the remote rep of your drone, and rep it ! In the meanwhile chill around shootin spawns while you drone tank em.
Sounds like fun to me, lol !

It's a pretty bad ship choice as it's designed for logistics. I don't have a setup for solo combat for this ship, only the suggestion that you try the Arbitrator/Omen/Maller, depending on your skillset and budget.
All of them except the Arbitrator are terrible solo ships (perhaps terrible ships in general) anyway.

It only has a bonus to Energy Transfer Arrays. Only the Guardian (T2 variant) has bonus to remote reppers.
Special ability: 10% bonus to armor hitpoints per level. 10% bonus to capacitor need of energy transfer arrays per level. 500% bonus to range of energy transfer arrays.
It's quite a nice ship for gangs though, as it's really cheap and can easily suply your gang with atleast 85cap/s.

the funny thing 2 do is to grab a t1 logistics shep (i use the exequoror) and start reppin rats while some1 else shoots em, tis really funny when the spawn consists of web/scramming rats lol coz the person rattin wud be trying 2 kill em, and ur sat there reppin em lol
can be anoying but funny

Support the introduction of Blaze M crystals for Amarr! (Or make Amarr the only race able to deal EM damage from turrets). |

bro...i'll call it like i see it. the aug is a support ship period. if you want to rat in lo sec with an amarr cruiser try any of the other 3. persoanlly i think the arbitrator is the most fun as you can make it send drones to attack over 100k away and still fit a cloaking device. gives you other idead doesnt it no cruiser tanks like the maller if you looking for that kinda deal. lastly , the omen. a good ratting ship or tackler , its very versatile.

I normally use the Navy Augoror but for the standard one I would put on frigate size artillery in the highs (or autocannons), a web + t2 disruptor or t2 disruptor + mwd/afterburner.
The rest you fit up with plates/resistance stuff.
Now you have an awesome bait ship for pirating in small gangs!!! No one will pass up a "free" augoror kill! ---

How about beeing more HELPFULL? For example give me the exact setup and stop going all ANTI augoror and yes i REALLY want to fly it so buzz off if your gona talk about navi augoror or guardian. I just want cheap fun! And i dont care about the other damn cruisers!

I gave you a pretty good guideline for using the basic Augoror in low-sec for small-gang pvp.
If all you want to do is kill cruisers in 0.4 space then put on cruiser or frigate size guns and a medium armor rep. Don't forget to load ammo.
Get in your optimal range and watch them die. There isn't anything else to killing cruisers in low-sec except maybe an afterburner and a web.
Here's an exact setup for you!
Highs: 3x Focused Medium Pulse Laser I Mids: 1x 10MN Afterburner I 1x Stasis Webifier I Lows: 1x Medium Armor Repairer I 1x Damage Control I OR 1x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I 3x Miscellaneous Sized Plates
There...now all the NPC Cruisers in low-sec will fear you for the rest of eternity. If you can't fit the medium rep a small armor rep should suffice vs the belt spawns in 0.4 and 0.3 space. ---

Yeah, some people just doesnt get it, dont they ?
Too bad i misread the ship description, my funky plan wont work, lol. Might work with an exqueror i think.
So i'd still go with a fat plate.
