I've been having a overview bug since trinity (if not before that).
If i have an overvieuw preset for PVP (ie. Showing gates + neutrals & hostiles only)
It often doesnt show everything that it should, for example, 6 hostiles on my grid, i see the gates (they're always fine) and then 4-5 hostiles, while i can zoom out and see the last ones right there, i've been checking to see if i have screwed up something with the settings, but the ones showing up could be from the same Corp/alliance, flying the same ship as the other, wouldn't make a diffirence. In big fleetbattles (20+ even) it is just not doable, if a name is called out and i can't find it, i won't be able to simply zoom out and select it, it would take forever to find the right guy.
I have tried reinstalling Eve, i have reinstalled windows (XP), gone back to XP from vista, didnt make a diffirence, it is just getting too annoying.
Does Anyone have this same problem, has anyone heard about it? Please help me out, I don't know what else to do.

Maybe you could take a screenshot from the section where you select if you want gang members to show up etc... just to see it isn't your settings

I will try to think of that next time im in a fight, though im pretty sure its not my settings, ive done it a thousand times.

Check if you have the new ships added to overview. I notied the new ones are not in the overview on default (electronic attack black ops etc)

This.
CCP used to delete overview settings on patch day. People whined. Now they no longer do so, with the new added fun that new ship types are not added to your pre-existing saved overview settings.
Be careful what you ask for.

Thanks for your replies, but as i said, ive had this for quite a while, this isnt a stupid mistake (not regarding having ships unchecked)
Note the ship that is selected, isnt on my overvieuw, nor is the one that my mouse is pointing on, yet they are ships that are on the overview, they are from the same alliance as well...Behold, my problem:P

I have been having exactly the same problem except its with wrecks.
On my mission setting i have unviewed wrecks on and everything else off, since the patchs no matter what i do its either all wrecks or no wrecks.
Kinda annoying having all that crap in your overview but i have had to remake just about all of my custom overview settings due to this and similiar problems.
Its the same on both my accounts on two different computers, so no idea..

A bump is in order, i still have this problem, i even had a fight last night against 4 ships of diffirent classes, none of them showed up, i quickly reset my overvieuw to Default and they showed up along with the regular stuff, like corpses.
So, still no solution, Anyone know anything that could help? im going to download the client again tonight and reinstall Again...tomorrowmorning.

turn on the following options.
Pilot has bounty.
Pilot has 0 Security Status
pilot has Negative Security Status

Have the same problem, doesn't show any tech 2 ship.
Sometimes not even showing some tech 1 ships.
Settings are checked and all in order.
I just live with it

States has nothing to do with what is and isn't shown on overview, it simply selects what color/variation of icon is displayed, you need to be on the types tab.
Or better yet, right click on the ship you had selected and see if you can select 'add x to overview'.
If you don't have the 'add' text, then it is indeed a bug and you should report it. If you do have the add text, you didn't setup your overview.

i believe those three options fixed it, havent had too much time to test it yet, thank you, and thanks to Romble from Eve-uni to have made an mp3 file about how to setup overvieuws.
Lets hope this was the end of my eternal pain.
