A huge fleet warped in and we were ordered to jump back- or warp out. I got locked, scrambled and shot at but had no aggro so I tried jumping out back to where we came from. I kept on spamming the jump button but all I got was the 'Session change already in progress' message. Within 30 seconds my Tempest was blown up and I just kept on spamming the jump button meanwhile.
After I got the 'Ship is out of control message' I looked at my ship and my wreck at the same time for 15 minutes while still spamming jump and then finally decided to log off as nothing was happening. When I logged back on (which took quite a while) my pod was in the system I was trying to jump to all that time.
Last time something like this happened I didn't load grid at all and got killed without even seeing a single hostile around me or being able to activate any module, or warp/move anywhere.
THIS IS NOT MY IDEA OF HAVING FUN!!
On top of this I get the petitions I make denied because the server logs don't show lag. So all I can do to prevent stuff like this happening is not participating in fleet fights really...
I beg you guys in CCP to do whatever is needed to solve this lag problem. It is really ruining the game for anyone involved in territorial and fleet warfare. I'm a very loyal player and have played for almost 4 years now but this is really starting to get on my nerves. The fleet warfare game is all about who anticipates and works the lag the best nowadays and nothing else. Huge fleets are getting decimated because they're not loading grid or are getting so much module lag that they're dead before their mods are finally supposed to activate. Shut down the server for 2 weeks to rewrite the code for all I care if that's what's needed to be done to solve this issue.
Really, Eve would be the best game ever if it wasn't for the lag.
Just to clarify, This has nothing to do with my computer or internet connection speed. I have a 20Mbit connection and a very fast machine/gfx card. When (If) environments are loaded all looks good and moves smoothly.
Edit: I've put it in this forum because lag is a known issue and I'm pretty sure it's being read by CCP devs ;)

Its time to offer multiple servers , offer free character transfers and limit player numbers to 10-15k,
I don't think that would make a difference as it would still be possible to have 400 people on a single node. Anyway.. I don't know what I want with this post... maybe just acknowledgement from CCP that they are doing their best to solve it and maybe give us some milestone timeframe for when we can expect some change. This lag just takes away a lot of the joy I have playing the game which is a shame and I had to write off my frustration.
