We train carebear killers. We offer assistance to any pirate corp that are in need of members. Pirate University trains pilots the basics of combat and gets pilots ready to join bigger pirate corporations. If interested send me an eve-mail.

Yarr ye land lubbing carebear in disguise! Piracy aint learnt in a uniwhateversy, it learned in space and the local tavern! Get an eye patch, get a parrot, get a peg leg and a cutlass and ye be ready to learn piracy! Uniwhateversy me foot! Me big brother went to one of'em uniwhatsies, and now he's mining scordite in new caldari! Yarr me says, stay away from those univisy!

There is an easier way to become a pirate: Keep trying to kill people and learn from your mistakes. When you realize that you have pretty much stopped dying to carebears, you are an official pirate and can join the club.

Piracy is dead and gone. Not until we have an end to sentry guns in 0.4 and below will piracy be once again viable. We also need to see some ways to actually increase your sec status because currently its a ******* pain in the ass trying to travel with bad sec.
Trust me, Ive done a 'little' piracy and its no longer a viable career, the fact that piracy is advertised on the back of the box is VERY misleading.

Piracy isn't dead and never was. Zap, pirating != camping a gate with as many ships as possible, that's carebear alliance ganking.
But the non-existing security system is a pain, true. The Devs should finally think about a solution for it.
Ps: Good luck with your university, but pirates shouldn't spend too much time reading books, they will have plenty of time doing it at their safespots while they train hunting ;)

Gate Ganking 101;
Smack Talk 101; (as witnessed on these boards nobody has progressed past this level)
How to Remain Incredibly Close to Gates 101; (for the uber pirate with motion sickness which is most...erm...all of them)
Whining 101, 102 (Whining Lit), 201;
Calling all other people who whine "Carebears" 101, 201;
Declaring wars you have no intention of fighting 101; (taught by multiple pilots from F-E)
Retracting wars you had no intention of fighting and declaring victory 101;
and last but not least,
Hijacking threads 101; (hell, I could teach this course)

The hardest thing is: Don't speak in local chat, ever.
There is nothing more enjoyable to have for instance The Forskin Companions [TFC] talking crap, to themselves.

Nice one zap shows your willingness to change. Real pirates, tank ceo for example go around and hit belts and adapt to changes where as people like you cant gate camp gank so dont bother anymore.
Think it about it logically what Empire in the world would allow outllaws to camp their main trade routes?
Poor zap cant gank travelers anymore
