Im going to see this movie when it comes out today is anyone else going to see it and what do you think this monster looks like?

Definitely before 6 today when the prices jump two-fold.

Not going to see it, precisely for this reason. 
I've had to suffer through almost a year's worth of hype, billboards, posters, teasers & more... none of them informational in any fashion whatsoever.
Lost my interest long ago.

Not going to see it, precisely for this reason.

I saw this last night, at a pre-screening here in Iceland. I was distinctly less than impressed, but the movie had mixed reviews.
In much the same way that The Blair Witch Project and The Bourne Ultimatum were filmed, I wouldn't see this if you're prone to motion sickness. 
As for the story, I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say, in my opinion, I was glad it was only just over an hour long...

It's an hour and fifteen minute long Nokia commercial. The movie was designed to make money, not entertain those that pay to see the movie.
They spent more time focused in on Nokia phones or posters then they did on "it".

Dunno about most hyped...I only first heard about it yesterday. But from the look of the trailer, I'm gonna go with the monster being Godzilla.

I saw the trailer in August last year, was intrigued, but promptly forgot all about it until yesterday when I saw it on a news site. Clearly the hype didn't have a large enough budget.
I am promised the monster will be "original" so I expect to be underwhelmed. 
I will probably see it next month when it comes out in the UK, purely to see a city get trashed. I like that sort of thing. Whatever artistic touches the creators had in mind, meh, wasted on me. My standards when enabled >> most film makers' output.

It's been stated many many times that it is a new monster. Not only that but it's more than one monster.
I'm might go see it tomorrow but I don't have high expectations. As stated, the more hyped a movie is, generally the worse they are.
Oh and I love the bourne series but was never a fan of blair witch.

The movie left me feeling sick to my stomach. Not a bad movie, but not great either.
I actually don't think the ad placement was too "in your face" as others have said. The only obvious ad I even noticed was the Nokia poster in the Subway, and I think that was done in a way that could of happened naturally.
