Im finding that if you fit 2MWD's or 1 MWD, and a 10MN AB in a frigate and have both mods running, you actually SLOW down on your approach to a gate.
Are the devs/bughunters aware of this?
If not, could someone please pass this on?

I submitted a bug report on this this morning.
This one is going to get people podded -- I hope they're prepared to reimburse people the kit/clones/skill-points

I have experienced this too, and it seems that it depends on what ship you have..
For example, A Punisher with 2 mwd can work but if you try to do the same with a slasher you get this "slowing" effect that you describe.
So it seems that some kind of limit is exeeded when a too light ship has to much boost.

So last night I warp into PF in my Incurrsus with 2 mwd. Sure enough and to my surprise the gate to Orvolle in blockaded No biggy, I just hit my 2 mwd and blasted by them and jumped. So fast in fact the pirate convo'd me and asked whether I had 2 mwd fitted and if I wouldn't mind coming back and let him try locking me again. Being confident he had no chance in hell of locking me I picked up my Taranis with 2 mwd and headed back to PF.
Totally confident in my brand shinny new interceptor I warped to the gate and hit both mwd. To my horror the ship only reached 800ms and slowed to 200ms 7km from the gate and slowly accelerate to 400ms or so. After two ships locked me I nearly ****ed myself . Thankfully, true to his word he did not fire and I jumped out.
This is defintately unfair and a bug. It's just wrong that basic frigates can hit the gate at faster speeds than my 6mill interceptor!!!!!!!!!

This has been a recurring problem in my Ares. When I engage the 2nd MWD I coast to a stop. NOT GOOD.

yeah - I have given up trying this in my stiletto - same problem when approaching gates at a fast speed.
been a problem for several patches now.

it's because you aproach the gate! your ship/ap thinks he has to stop around 1 km from it when you are at 15km from the gate and you engage your little "warp" to the gate your ship/ap thinks ooh we are going to fast slow down other wise we can't stop soon enough. Try warping to the gate at 40km and then set your ap on you don't got the problem then.. but yea.. you will have to fly 37.5km then..

Yeah well, the AP needs to Think Different(TM). It worked before the last patch, now it doesn't work. Nuff said.

This is an oooooooold bug and affects all ships. Not just frigates.

How would you like to have your ship with 2 mwd practically come to a stop 7.5km from the gate. I'm not asking for my Taranis or Ares to hit the gate at 22,000 m/sec, only more than lets say my Incurrsus or Megathron with two MWD.
Megathron 2 mwd, speed at gate = ~1700 Incurrsus 2 mwd, speed at gate = 2500+ Interceptor 2 mwd, speed at gate =200m/sec
