earth and beond players welcome to the wonderfull world of eve.To days lesson is how to get money. You basicly start off with a noob ship with about 2 turet hard points ( you can fit 2 mining lasers on that thing ) you start with a basic miner wich is not so good but here is a trick on how to get more ore faster.Dock at your local station take of your basic miner and guns and every thing un dock from the station and self destruct go back to your station and volah! you got your self a new ship! amazing. Now you will have 2 mining lasers to mine with
Another great tip will be here to morow Vid of the week |

Hmm, I have only played 2 days, but your advice seems like an exploit to me.
Fitting 2 miners seems like a good idea though. Only problem is the power needed. I just bought my new Bantam Frigate and bought a Miner 1. I thought of fitting both the n00b miner version and the miner 1. Couldn't do it since I dont't have power (CPU?) enough.
I've done some training and omw atm to buy a power cap enhancer. Hopefully I gcan fit 2 miners then

no offence but I would call that an exploit.
I may be new to eve, but I'm not new to 'tricks' that involve taking advantage of someething.
The insurance is set in-place to help new players who get into trouble. The first night I played I found myself double-clicking on a gang member expecting to follow him - not attack! So the concord came & blew up my ship and set my sec status to 0.0 :( But all was not lost because I got a new ship from the insurance company. But you choose to exploit it instead... I hope there's something to stop insurance fraud :P
Another tip would be to find a friend with a lot of money ;)

you might want to try and find an Ep gausian miner on the market .. they have lower cpu requirements than miner I and should work for your purpose.
i m not sure if those miners are on the market all as sofar i have only found them in pirate loot. worth a try though.
~~ signatures ?! all they do is wasteing space... ~~ |

Opening Wallet, checking my 22k ISK. Hmm, ok
EDIT: Was hoping for some advice on getting more power. Is there anything to up my CPU, so I might even be able to use 2 Miner 1's
Btw, how can I find the looted/pirate version of the miner?

I think you can put 2-Miner 1's on a newbie ship...but I can't remember as this time around I'm doing zero mining. The Electronics skill ups your CPU (or Engineering...one ups CAP and one ups CPU can't remember which atm).
With the shortage of roids in high sec space. I think you'll find an easier way to make money by doing agent missions, hunting NPC pirates, and reprocessing the loot from NPC pirates to sell the minerals (NPC pirates can be found in systems with sec ratings of .8 or less). I earned 400k isk in my first 5 hours of playing doing this.
Looted items can be found as in cargo containers that drop when most NPC pirates explode. Loot minering lasers aren't the most common of drops.
PS: Get rid of that newbie weapon A.S.A.P. I prefer to buy weapons with decent Opt. Range (6km+), so you don't have to get close to the NPC pirates to kill them. Once you get close they can start to hurt a newbie ship or even lvl 3 frig.
