I jumped into jita and my game completely froze up. Now I can't log in, it just sits and the entering game bit. Is jita solar system broken? There was no announcement to avoid it. |

Jita isn't broken...just avoid it for future reference. It's a trade hub, meaning that lot's of people go there, and that causes lag.

At weekends Jita takes a long time to load. It's down to the sheer amount of market activity going on in there.

well since its weekend and its Jita you're talking about, my guess is Jita topped 1k in local again. Try logging on just after downtime tomorrow and you might just be able to sneak out before it clogs up again.
Simply put, during the weekend Jita is hell, especially during peak hours. It has a traffic advisory flag on the map 24-7, but peak during weekends is suicide through lag basically.
All your client did was time out i guess, not your fault. (unless jumping into Jita counts as asking for it )
Wait for the system to be less crowded and try again. (just after DT is your best bet)

 Problems at Jita are how old ? 1 year or more since Yulai went off as a trading hub, nothing happend from ccp after that. 
There "need for speed" actions didnt work, so perhaps the old routes were a solution (back to Yulai e.g.)

you know about jita, and still went there?
for future reference: do not go to jita, and in case you have to, go in the low-times.
NEVER EVER logout in jita.

there is a quick move after a stuck petition, but most of the time it did not help when you have to past jita for travel :)

Well you can't but you do have the option to wait for a more quiet moment before flying in and grabbing your goodies and getting out.

We have in the past asked for a bypass on hub systems, sorta like cities have highway bypasses so you dont have to go through downtown to get past.
I feel your pain attempting to get around jita, there is no easy route.

WTF? I've been sitting waiting for the last 30 minutes for my Jita stuck petition to get answered
Edit: nvm, the system just doesn't inform you when your petition is answered....useful huh?
