For some strange reasons when I start a download from eve-files it stops after about 5 seconds. I try to download it again, but I get the same problem. This is not just one specific file, I get this error alot. I then tried to download the same file with Internet Explorer and it worked. Anyone know what could be wrong?

Hmm, actually my connection to eve-files looks like it's resetting after a while. Now even in IE the download stops and I have to abort it and start it again, then it continues a bit from where it stop last time until it stops again. Very annoying

go to google and search "free download manager". You should get a hit for a download for a program called "Free Download Manager" coincidentally. Install it, then when you are at the evefiles page for a file, right click it and hit "download with free download manager". Hope that helps. _______________

I had this problem back when I lived in florida, never could get it to work (although I didnt try a download manager) however when I moved out of state and was on a different ISP the situation was no longer there, for whatever that is worth.

i have been experiencing the same problem as well. After investigating what happens it seems that once a tcp fragment is lost my machine will repeat acking data up to the missing fragment while eve-files continues to send new data instead of retransmitting the lost fragment. Oddly i didnt observe this problem on another box of mine , but i havent been able to figure out why that is.
