Hello, I was away for a while and now that I came back I have some questions about these nice rigs.
I wanted to know if rigs had stacking penalties like other ship equipment...
I fly a Raven 6x Limos Cruise launchers 1x Scavenger 1x Tractor Beam
1x X-Large Shield Booster II 2x Invulnerability field I 2x Shield Boost Amplifier I 1x PWNAGE (target painter)
1x Dmg Control (52%) 2x Ballistic Control System II 2x PDU
I was wondering... 1) Is this setup adequate to run lvl 4 missions? 2) What's up with rigs, which should I fit?
Thx!

Generally - if the module's got a stacking penalty - the rig does.
Next question would be - why are you using invulnerability fields when you know what damage you will be taking? I doubt the setup is cap stable as it is, and hence a flux coil might be better than the damage control.
And yes, I believe it's very well capable of running just about any level 4 mission, but that's really more up to you and your personal skill than the hsip and your characters skillpoints.

Edited by: Caiman Graystock on 21/01/2008 18:14:57 There are better cruise launchers you could use (Arbalest)
I assume you dont have the skills for t2 hardeners, but they would be useful, and try to make them mission specific, better tank when you know what enemy you are facing. You don;t need two shield boost amps, get one decent named one or a t2. The caldari navy amp is good and cheap.
Drop the damage control if you're a mission runner and put another BCUII in.
As for rigs, 3xCCC is very useful.

i dont think the target painter is really needed for cruise so i would say drop that. then change the two inuvlnerability fields and the spare slot to 3x rat specific hardeners then fit 3x CCC rigs (capacitor rigs). then that should be fine
Perfection.

Reason for the invulnerability fields is I forgot what the specific hardeners were lol...
Any database somewhere?
So get 6x Arbalest Change the 2x Invul + target painter to 3x Specific hardners I kinda like my 2x shield boost amplifiers and my damage control though...
Get 3x CCC rigs
That should make the ship much better?

Edited by: Byzan Zwyth on 21/01/2008 19:14:52 6x Arby Cruise launchers 2x weapon turrets, something you have trained for
1x X-Large Shield Booster II 4x mission specific hardener II (train for T2, wont take long) 1x Shield Boost Amplifier I (save up for a faction one (caldari Navy) or train for T2)
3x CFC II (capacitor flux coil - better cap regain than PDU and that's what's important) 2x Ballistic Control System II
On the hardeners you should train for T2, no questions asked. You get 4 with this setup. Most factions do 2 types of damage, so you fit 2 hardeners for each damage type. Or 2 for the primary damage type and 1 for the secondary and an invulnrability Field II.
PDU's vs. CFC although PDU's give you all that other stuff all that really matters is the impact on your cap regain. Although CFC's have a cap size reduction penalty they still give you a larger increase in cap regain - which is what's most important.
for loot/salvage bookmark your mission rooms and go back in a destroyer fitted for salvaging after your have completed the mission and got the reward.
Googled "eve damage types" Went to the first link:
Angel: All types, although mostly kinetic and explosive. Amarr Navy: EM and thermal. Ammatar Navy: EM and thermal. Blood: EM and thermal. Caldari Navy: Kinetic and thermal. Centii: EM and thermal. Coreli: Kinetic and thermal. Corpii: EM and thermal. Domination: All types, mostly kinetic and explosive. Gallente Navy: EM and thermal. Gist: All types, mostly kinetic and explosive. Gurista: Kinetic and thermal. Khanid: EM and thermal. Mercenary: All types. Mordus: Kinetic and thermal. Odamian: Kinetic and thermal. Pith: Kinetic and thermal. Rogue drones: All types. Republic fleet: All types, mostly kinetic and explosive. Sansha: EM and thermal. Serpentis: Kinetic and thermal.
Main Damage types to use on npc factions:
Guristas - Kinetic Serpentis - Thermal Mordus - Thermal & Kinetic Blood - EM & Thermal Sansha - EM & Thermal Angel - Explosive Mercenary - Thermal Corpum - EM & Thermal Gist - Explosive

Hi, from my experience the following Setup worked out best:
Hi: * 6x T2 or Arabalest Cruise Launcher * 2x Whatever you want (Energy Vamp or Drone Control Range bonus)
Mid: * 1x X-Large Shield Booster II * 3x Mission specific Hardener * 2x Cap Recharger II
Low: * 4x Power Diagnostic System II * 1x Ballistic Control Unit
Rigs: * 3x Capacitor Control Circuit
You can change more PDS IIs in the Lows for the BCU's if you got sufficient cap skills. You should be able to run the Booster and active hardeneres for approx 2 - 5 Minutes at least. Furthermore i don't recommend using a Cap Relay in the Low the Capacitor Penalty will reduce your overall recharge rate. It should be possible aswell to change one of the Cap Rechargers for a Shield Boost Amp.

HIGHs 6 Arb Cruise Launchers; 2xNOS MEDs 1xX-Large Shield Booster, 2xRace Specific Shield Amps And 2xHardeners or 4 Race Specific Hardeners all T2; Sometimes Large T2 Shield Extender or a T2 Shield Amplifier LOWs 3xBCU's 2xPDU's All T2
3xCCC Rigs
For my Faction Tanked CNR i use
Highs 7 Caldari Navy Launchers and 1 large sansha nos Meds 1 X-Large Caldari Shield booster/Pith, 4 Dread Hardeners + Larger Shield Extender T2 Lows 3xCaldari navy bcu's + blood pdu's
1xCCC T2 2xCCC
I wouldnt fit rails to the raven it has no bonuses; however the travtor helps and a nos or two large nos in a t2 raven setup to help sustain the shield boost
