Elise Randolph wrote: Local in nullsec is always a hot topic. I stand resolute in my view that a suitable compromise would be to have anywhere between a 15 and 30 second local delay upon jumping in. That is to say, the pilot jumping in will be able to see everyone in local who has been there for more than 15-30 seconds, but he will remain out of local until his timer expires. To make holding space more valuable, systems with military upgrades and a new upgrade (Local Scanning upgrade, or something similar) will have a 20% per level reduction in the local delay. So a system with military upgrades 5 and this local scanning upgrade will have no local delay. This encourages people to live in, and upgrade, systems. Those who venture out for solidarity, alliance will do so with an increased risk. Likewise roaming gangs would have more maneuverability in the outlying areas, but would be more at risk in the main systems. I am not dead set on the specifics, but I do believe the general idea is sound.

I honestly don't know anybody who is more involved with such a wide range of activities in EVE. While doing an awesome job last year on the CSM Elise Randolph also FC'd hundreds (no troll) of operations in PL, from huge fleet fights, supercap kills, the boring ugly jobs that have to get done like structure grinding. Even as I type this post Elise has us sitting on a titan, waiting to move if the cowardly bad guys show their faces.
In addition to being an excellent FC, a CEO of one of the best corporations in EVE, and one of the top 2-3 dudes in PL at the moment, in the last year he's also participated in small gang roams, solo camping low-sec gates with his titan (top killing titan in eve in 2011 btw), solo PVPing in a Drake in low-sec (and managing some pretty epic fights. He's also gone soloing in a Helios and scored many awesome kills like:
https://www.pandemic-legion.com/killboard/view_kill.php?id=461735 https://www.pandemic-legion.com/killboard/view_kill.php?id=444550 https://www.pandemic-legion.com/killboard/view_kill.php?id=448856
There is literally no one running for CSM who has seen such a wide variety of PVP in the last year. A vote for Elise Randolph is a vote for PVP.

I will be voting for Elise because I am a pro-bosoms candidate, and having a CSM tag that directly points at Elise's bosoms in the character portrait is the best use of a voting system I can imagine. Hey Elise, just posted something in Seleene's thread and would also like your oppinion on the topic.
Doctor Eezee wrote:Hey Seleene, could you comment on THIS post in the Darius III campaign thread? Vile Rat and Two Step claim that Darius did pretty much nothing while he was in the CSM. D3 then argues that they just say that because they are in love with Mittens. Since there are no official records of what each member of the CSM did during their time in office, it would be helpful to hear the opinions of some of the other CSM members.
Good luck during your campaign. |

Having had the pleasure of flying with Elise in the past, i can safely say that this man knows his stuff. If you want a CSM rep who truly knows PvP mechanics, this is your guy. If you consider yourself a PVPer of any kind, you cant afford to not vote for Elise Randolph! |

Elise Randolph is a talented, energetic and intelligent individual. While many may wish to vote on partisan lines, Elise is a good choice for those who do not reside in a political alliance.
With first hand knowledge of ~elite pvp~ Elise understands precisely Eve mechanics on a minute detail and so is possibly the best placed candidate to offer CCP guidance on game changes and balance tweaks. Elise has consistently shown himself to be fair and has always based his decisions on the games longevity, not his alliances. |

TL;DR I suspect your platform is "DONT NERF SUPERS AND TAKE AWAY OUR I WIN BUTTON." AMIRITE? CCP and even the CSM have a lot of hardworking men and women who are very intelligent, working on making New Eden a better place-it is CCP management that I fear the most. |

I don't think I've met anyone in EVE, grunt or FC, with as much charisma and positive spirit as Elise Randolph. Everyone who knows him can't help but like him. Couple that with the fact that he has more experience and game time with EVE than most of the previous CSMs combined and you have the ideal CSM member. Elise understands PVP from small ship solo action (his devastating battle-Helios) to Titans (Wasp O'Ryan #1 Titan in all of EVE).
If you want the voice of the people heard by CCP, there is literally no better man to do it. |

Akkarin Deyb wrote:How do you feel about EWAR Balance (including EWAR drones)? Do you think super's are balanced now, or require more work? You'll be getting my vote anyway but Also, more taylor swift~.
In large scale combat, EWAR works the way it should - the ewar mods get put on the weakest ships, it is rather burdensome to coordinate, and you trade off from a different, possibly more useful, ship.
Ewar drones are a slightly different beast, especially ec-300s in a small engagement. You give up next to nothing for five little buggers that always seem to get off one vital jam, even if the target ship has eccm. The fact that the best counter is a smartbomb is what is wrong - the ship with the EC-300s gives us miniscule DPS, while the target ship has to give up a hugely significant high slot. It's rather telling that you rarely see EC-900s fielded
As far as supers go, I'm satisfied with the first round of changes that were made - especially the logoff mechanics and the tiered HP reduction that boosted the Hel and Rag. But like many things in this game they do need more work. I strongly believe supers shouldn't be fight-killing machines, but at the same time they shouldn't be dust-collecting heaps of rubbish either. For this to happen there needs to be a voice of experience to provide insight into how the ships are used and what they are capable of. There's plenty of data, and don't get me wrong I love me some data, but I find that data without context is meaningless. With regard to supercaps, I can confidently say that I am the most qualified to provide that context. |

Your platform of "vote for me because the entire csm6 thinks I'm worthless" isn't going to work, stop trying. Here's your response.

It seems like a perfectly reasonable stance to want them balanced, but usable. Also, PL will always have a win button, supers or not. You're foolish for thinking otherwise. A vote for Elise is a vote for someone the CSM needs. He has the social ability to advocate for player needs very strongly towards developers, and a strong finger on the pulse of the game to find those needs and relate them to the rest of the CSM. The candidates you want as politicians are both good at communicating and good people. Not only is Elise both of those, but he brings a wealth of experience to the table (more than any other prior CSM).
Also vote for him so Rokh's can fit through wormholes. |
