This is the reason why gate campers shoot 'harmless' shuttles and n00b ships much to the bleeding hearts irritation. This kill should be used as evidence the next time a 'Gate kamporz r L4M3' topic comes up.

Why? I've hauled similar loads through low sec in an i-stabed vigil before I had trained up for a cheeta.

The fact that there was that much faction & officer mods on that ship makes me wonder if it was owned by a ISK for $$$ dealer or if it had been brought from an ISK for $$$ dealer.
It also shows why people at gate camps attack anything that comes through the gate, hell I would love to find something like that to kill, not to mention I haven't owned that much faction/officer mods in all my time in EVE (on any of my accounts)
Anyway the person that was flying that thing deserved to have the stuff taken from him/her, maybe next time they will do things in a better way...

Also, Zeba, it's not the fact the guy was transporting stuff in a frig, we all do that. It was the fact he was transporting so much valuable crap with no scouts, no guards, no tactics (like only making a few jumps at a time after maintenance every day FFS).
Really, shoulda taken that stuff through the danger zone in a Helios or Prowler in two trips, or three, or however many it woulda took.

Whilst it definitely an interesting kill, I wouldn't classify it as the funniest kill ever. It's hardly amusing; more a sad reminder of how bad CCP are at following up on ISK sellers and their purchasers.

Was the guy on autopilot or something? How did the involved ships possibly target a reaper faster than it could align and warp?
If he WAS autopiloting then the hilarity and stupidity of this kill is enhanced all the more.

Anybody care to give an ISK value for that cargo? I can't afford any of it, so I don't bother keeping track of what they're worth.

and that is the prime example why gatecampers kill everything in sight...i've done that with a frigate to take stuff down to highsec...but it works.

Yeah, those tier 2 frigates are the best ships for hauling small modules, IMO... but a rookie ship is plain stupid. It's like a cruiser with less HPs than a frig.
