I'm setting up a nano cerb and am looking for ideas and comments. Small fast gank gang work.
Highs: 5 t2 heavy launchers
Mids: 10 mn II MWD 3 X cap recharger II med cap booster (loaded with 200's)
Lows: 3 X nano II Inertia Stab II
Rigs: nano agility
Total mass reduction is 45%, 15% agility, 20% inertia, 45% cap recharge rate. The 200's provide the energy for the MWD on a close cycle (198energy/10seconds MWD - 200energy/12seconds Cap booster)I dont have a speed yet as i have less than 3 days of skilling to fly this setup. It would also be nice to be able to fit a cloaker. Thoughts and comments?

Why so many capacitor modules? Can't your substain your MWD without them? Fit Sensor Booster and EW instead.

You dont quite have it nailed, might want to re-think the setup... quite alot. -------

Best setup your gonna get....
Hi- 5HML II / (whatever--Cloak,salvager)
Mid- 10MN MWD II / LSE II / Small Cap Booster (Electro) [Booster 150] / T2 Web or Scram / Inv II
Low- 3 Overdrive II / PDUII
Rigs 2 Polycarbon
With my current skills (and without implants) a blistering (for Caldari) 2955km/s ===================
Personally I think it's a waste of cash....I'll never build another one

T2 scram defo, switch the invlun for a photon. Other than that, i heartily endorse this setup. -------

I like the web better
Reason: Inties and Dictors go 'buh-bye' because they don't expect a silly Cerb to be fitted with one (let alone a warp scrambler or even for it to be nano-fitted)
I have one fitted in this manner and TBH it really is just a waste of money...Yeah, it's fast but you sacrifice alot of DPS (and isk) JUST for speed.
My 'battle-standard' Cerb does 1400+km/s, and with a 'Low Friction Nozzle Joints' rig, turning and aligning is much more manageable....And Cheaper!

5 x T2 HML (CN Scourge)
Domination 10mn MWD Domination Warp Disruptor Domination EM shield amp T2 Medium Cap battery 1 x T2 LSE
3 x T2 OD(may want to change one of these to an I-stab II) 1 x DB/TS PDS
2 x Polycarbs
Decent DPS that always hits. ~230(skillz)
3500m/s 4700m/s with an LG snake set(Don't pod me bro!)
Now, I can fit this with Adv Wep Ups V. Not sure if it is required though.

Might want to look at increasing your navigation skills. Getting your MWD skill up some will reduce your need to fit cap recharge modules. Also get your cap recharge skill up to 5.
To be honest, with the way your skills look, you'll be a very easy target for anyone in a T1 cruiser or bigger.
You'll want to swap out some of those nano's with OD's and you should be able to lose the istab and be good. Use Polycarb rigs for maximum effect.
Your mids, you'll want some sort of tackle at least, and maybe a shield hardener or two.
If you can, fit HAM's instead of HML's, and fight right on the edge of web range (around 9.5km) so you can keep a web on your target, but easily get out if they have you web'd too hard. www.the-bastards.com Ask me about recruiting options |

Whats with all the boosters loaded with non-max-sized boosters? Let Med boosters use 800's, small use 200's.

Tried a good few nano cerb setups, I liked the twin damp cerb the most (pre damp nerf). But however way you fit it, it's just _meh_. It's far better used as it's intended. In a small gang from med\far off, with the fastest rof you can muster.

Actually, its better nowdays after the nerf. The lock time penalty was never the benefit of using damps on the cerb, but more so the lock range. Now you're better at it with scripts.

As a rule of thumb, mixing passive and active cap recharge is a bad idea. This general rule applies to passive shield tanking and active shield tanking as well as shield and armor tanking. Generally speaking, picking one and doing it well is best.
Secondly, the setup has no real tank and does not do nearly enough speed to nano-tank. So while getting a cerb to go fast can be done, its a little more tricky then sticking speed in the lows and cap in the mids and choising the right rigs. . . ----

Nanocerb doesnt need the speed as such.
You can damp a target down to silly ranges, and orbit at 24km spamming hams. You WILL do enough dps to break most tanks, and the damp range is enough to lock down most ships. The trouble will be 1. Multiple targets. 2. Other nanoships.
I took down a mega solo in my nanocerb the other day. Popped his drones, and so no dps was on me. He was damped to hell, so coulnt lock, and my faction hams wore him down rather well :)

Just curious, never flown one, but can a cerb work with a large cap battery as so to prevent having to use booster chargers while stilling being abe to perma mwd?

And why pray tell do you need to mwd all that time? The target will be damped, so hes of no threat to you. The only reason for the mwd is to get to the target fast, and lose any dps on your if it goes **** up.

regardless of your opinion, the OP is asking for help with his setup. Dont share with us whether or not u think he should be in the ship. If its what he wants to fly to have fun, thats his decision.

Why do people try to nano the cerberus at all? Doesn't it have far more mass, less agility, and less speed than the minmatar HAC's?
In fact, isn't the cerberus less agile even than the Eagle?

Has anyone had the cajones to fit a cerb with polys, snakes, and a decent MWD and actually undock with it?
If I had a fortune in my wallet this is one ship setup I would love to try but I can't afford a set of snakes, let alone afford to be able to loose em.....

EFT it? I don't recommend EFT for much else other than its calculations on top speed. All that "DPS" and "Tankable DPS" stuff is so far off its not even funny.

Most nano gangs pull tacklers and other fast ships from conventional gangs when say on a station or gate. Cerbs excell at killing frigs/dictors/nano-ed cruisers. You'll find the majority of a nano gang isn't going vaga speeds but somewhere closer to 3km/s or even lower which the cerb can get quite easily.

It sucks, the rigs are stacking penalysed with the nano's. And nano doesn't mean you fit nanofibers in the lows, but that you have it going fast. And why do you need all that cap recharge ? Fly a cookie cutter stabber for some time, then you'll know how to fit it. :)

Large cap batteries eat a lot of PG, guess what the Cerb misses as a missile boat ?
