What is the hierarchy of weapon systems in eve.
Here's what i think it is
1. projectiles (auto-cannon then arty depending on the purpose)
2. Missiles (probably heavy, hams, cruise, and torpedoes)
3. Drones
4. Lasers
5. Hybrid
AM I wrong?

A few favorites of mine are blasters of any size , 220mm ACs, Medium and small Pulse Lasers, Minmatar Drones, ECM, and loldefenders.

1. Blasters
(Other weapons might make nice sounds and lasers look really cool, they just don't do any damage worth mentioning. )

You're wrong on Cruise missiles.
if there is a thing a hierarchy I'd say
1) EMC -> brings almost all other system to a stop

If you are looking at general effectivity in the majority of situations, then I would put lasers ahead of Drones and in many applications ahead of missiles (scorch is fun stuff), Projectiles on the otherhand have no competition in any situation. |

Maybe that is a correct hierarchy, but you know a quick trip to eve kill top 20 shows 425mm railgun IIs and all 3 levels of neutron blaster II.
My point? Eve is situational.
Stats also tell me eve kill probably isn't showing drones in that because so many mails have warrior II as their final blow it would probably throw things off a great deal. |
