Ok im doing Recon 2/3 when my shuttles about to go bang right, ok so i eject for the fun of it, and im ejecting then suddenly after the dust clears im sat there with two pods, the one next to me and the one im in, only the one im in has 0shields 0arm and 0hull, does this sound strange or what :|

I'd send your second pod to go make you some ISK. Then again, you run the risk of your second self running away with your money...

When I started the game I was messing around leaving my ship and somehow was able to have a pod in the station while I was in a ship. Still in some far off station. Shows up in my assets.

Leave your ship (so that you're in a pod) and jumpclone somewhere else. Now jumpclone back, and enter your ship again (but not the pod).
Now you have an 'extra' pod.

on my mining toon, I look at my assets, and 20 jumps away it lists my Pod. I'm tempted to hit "trash it" but really don't want to test losing my head of +3's.

I had a spurious extra Pod in a long-forgotten hangar, and when I finally was out in that region of space again, I thought I would go get it and take it home with me. But I found out...
You can't repackage a pod.
You can't put a pod on contract.
You can't put a pod in your cargo hold.
You can't reprocess a pod.
All you can do is board it, or trash it.

Sounds a little anti-fun to me  true their are reasons behind it, sadly other than a corp hanger i cant think of another method.

that's strange, I've seen a KM with a Pod in the cargo...I'll see if I can find it.
