Edited by: Aeronar Dremar on 24/01/2008 16:52:10 Hey folks, my first time posting here for help. I know there's a huge thread for raven ship fittings, but that's not necessarily what I'm after. Any advice on skills and/or fittings would be greatly appreciated. First my fitting:
High: - Cruise Missile Launcher II x6 - Heavy Diminishing Power System Drain x2
Mid: - Heat Dissipation Field II - Ballistic Deflection Field II - Invulnerability Field II - Large Shield Booster II - Shield Boost Amplifier II - Heat Dissipation Amplifier II
Low: - Ballistic Control System II x2 - Power Diagnostic System II x3
And my skills: Skills
Again, any help is appreciated. Please, no flames, only constructive help. Thanks!

Why do you have Neuts on a mission ship?
Do you have rigs?

I use the nos's for extra cap recharge. I also use three CCC's.

My bad, I mistook the named Nos as Nuets.
Ok, I have a few suggestions that you can use to improve your overall setup. The PDUs give a bump to your deffenses but not enough to justify their use over Cap Flux Coils, those will dramatically increase your cap/sec, this is more important than overall capacity in most cases (except where you are being Neuted). If you are not having a problem with cap/deffenses then I'd suggest running two Flux Coils and adding another BCU, this is about all you can do to increase damage. Are you doing L3 or L4 missions? Personally I think your tank is light with the LSB (rather than XLSB) for L4 missions, I could be wrong, what has your experience been like so far?

Skills that help
Guided Missile Precision- makes you do more damage to small targets Target Navigation Prediction- increases the damage to fast targets Warhead Upgrades- increases damage
take these to 5 to help killing things faster
Cruise Missile Specialization-increases damage
taking this to 4 is enough i think but if you want to buy faction launcher this skill does nothing (cn launchers have better rof than skilled t2)
also look at implants there are both for cruise damage and and launcher rof
get your drone skills up for hammerhead II that improves your damage but you have to watch then so they dont get killed i.e. launch them after you have agro. dont use torps for missions they have too short range (well depends on which mission)
if i give any bad advice please correct me

Suggestions:
- Scout Drone Operation V for T2 Light/Medium drones - Misc other drones skills to level 3 for more effective drones
- Energy Management IV+ for more Cap
- Evasive Maneuvering III+ for better handling
- Negotiation III+ for better mission rewards
- Upgrade to XL Shield Booster

take off a nos add a 1400mm howitzer :) or a 250mm railgun. add another bcu as suggested the large shield is fine its all i use. 200+ missions no problems. i dont use the shield amp tho, add a t2 invul and use all active hardeners (for exp i can get 92%).t2 hammers or vespas help a lot.5 t2 med can kill a bs in under a min on thier own.

Looking at your missles skill show them to be somewhat lacking. Get skill like missle bombardment, guided missle etc. to 4 and you will find a marked increase in performance.

Your ship setup is fine for lvl 4 missions. Its your skills that are holding you back at this point. Get all your missile support skills to 4 and you will see a major difference even with your existing setup.

Don't remember the bonuses the Raven gets but BS lvl4 doesn't take too long to train.

T2 Med drones 3x BCU II - Friend even uses 4x, the fourth doesn't add much but he simply doesn't need the PDU at all.
Then boost skills as much as you can. I also like to put some turrets on their, like large artillary as they don't use cap. Two extra guns can probably increase your DPS by at least 10-15%.

Thanks for all the great advice everyone. Made a new skill plan that should very effectively help me out, along with changing my fitting. And without any flames! Thanks again. Fly safe, have fun.

Originally by: Gadawan Don't remember the bonuses the Raven gets but BS lvl4 doesn't take too long to train.
Raven Bonus:
5% bonus to Cruise and Siege Launcher Rate Of Fire and 10% bonus to Cruise Missile and Torpedo Velocity per level.
So it is like having some Missile Projection and a better version of Rapid Launch built into the ship.
At BS5 Your missile velocity bonus equals Missile Projection 5. So if you have both at lvl 5 you should get 100% velocity bonus (unless there is a skill stacking penalty) You actually get a better ROF bonus from the Raven (%5) compared to Rapid Launch (3%). But again, if you had those at lvl 5 then you would get a total of 40% ROF bonus. And that is without BCUs. Tack on a few BCU-II and watch your ammo bays run dry within several seconds
