Is there a way to sort objects in game by any other means then name, quanity or the such? what i am hoping for is something like a folder that i can sort things in that.
Does it exist or am i stuck having 100+ items just sitting there taking up space?

You can buy containers for that and use those as folders. Most notably station containers.

Buy and train the anchoring skill to level 1.
You can then buy "station containers", which are sold at each station, and use them to organize your things.

You could also start a corp and open up a corp hangar inside of the HQ station. A corp hangar can have quite a few smaller storage bins inside of them with an unlimited amount of space to stock up items in.

Thanks! Love the prompt replies!
Will have to do that tonight, sick of trying to find shield upgrades in a sea of smart bombs....

Edited by: Goa Vibe on 25/01/2008 21:23:36 I buy a few station containers when I settle in a new base and name them:
Ammo Low Mid High Misc [tags, extra implants, stuff I rarely use]
[You could also add another: Mining]
I also have a small secure container called Salvage (salvage takes up very little space so the smallest container can hold it all)
Remember to Configure the station containers to make everything unlocked. If your station containers are in a player corp office and you have container rights I guess you have to plan accordingly for personal containers (I havent had to deal with it yet)

You only need anchoring if you are anchoring the containers in space. If you are using them in your hanger or cargo hold you do not need any skills.
