Upon arrival at Sendaya, the destination of a rather large and dangerous courier job the ADVL freighter captains were looking to put their feet up after arriving in what we thought would be a safe place to put our feet up before the long trip back to Ennur.
We set out to find a bar in the large CONCORD station to celebrate the successful completion of such a large and well paying courier contract. The bar we found was practically empty. Of all the tables and stools in the place only one table, in the far back corner was occupied by 3 hooded men. The bar was so poorly lit we could not see their faces. That made us uneasy but we didn't let it get in the way of our celebrations...
We got our Spirits at the bar and sat on the other side of the bar, not wishing to attract too much attention, as we still needed to move our Freighter out of the low-sec constellation. We had a few rounds and a good time despite the feeling that the hooded men seated at the back corner of the bar were watching us. We decided now was a good time to get some rest before moving our Freighter out of the system.
As we stood up to leave the men at the other table sprung out of their seats. Shocked, we looked over. I quietly ask Ibby if he had brought his pistol on board, "This is a CONCORD station, I didn't think we would need weapons.." he said. We headed for the exit, but before we got their the door was slammed shut. It wouldn't open. I looked at the bar to see where the bartender was, he was gone.
We turned around to see three men were standing there. We were silent as the smallest of the three leaned in and removed his hood. "There's a problem with the shipment of mining equipment. Gusta wants to talk to you." he said, confused I replied "What's the problem? We compelted the contract" I went on to explain "None of the goods could possibly have been damaged on-board our Freighter". He grinned and told me that there was no damage to the eqipment, but rather there was a problem with Gusta's mining operation in Doril. He explained to us that Utopia constellation where the mines are located were under attack and Gusta needed good Transport pilots to move ore from the mines to the refineries.
It seemed obvious, this was a test to see if a pilot was worth hiring. I grinned, "Look, tell Gusta his reward was very generous but I'm afraid we only work with SCC endorsed contracts. Gusta will have to hire somebod...", before I could finish my sentence he interupted "YOU DONT UNDERSTAND. This is not a request. You will work for Gusta." I was shocked. "No we wont. Open this door right now and we'll forget all about this nonsense" I demanded.
I was about to pull my knife when I heard a voice from the back. There was a tall man in a black robe who must have been there in the shadows the entire time. "I am Gusta." he said, "I have something to show you so pay attention. As he walked forward he pulled an envelope out from under his robe. "Open it" he said, pushing the envelope to my chest. I did as he said...
My jaw dropped as I inspected the contents of the envelope. They were photos, photos of my family and my partner's families locked up in some kind of cage in what looked to be the cargo bay of a Providence class Freighter. "If you don't work for us, they will". I showed my partners the photos.. they looked to me like they have many times before, unfortunately there was nothing I could do about this. "Wh..what do you want?"
"You will work for us in our Doril mines, shipping the ore from the Doril mines to the refineries in Utopia. As long as you are doing this, your family will be free to go on living their lives" he stated. He went on to warn us, "If you try to escape, we will kill your family.".
Forced to live out the rest of our lives hauling ore for the evil Amarr slave-trader Gusta and his Cosa Nostra alliance we are asking for your help. Come to Utopia and get us out the hell out of here.

Are you surprised that this could occur in a CONCORD facility? They can be bribed quite easily, and you should know this. Perhaps you should have, instead, docked at a Republic Fleet facility?
Ah, that is right, you are, and will always be, an enemy of the Republic. This is why it is good to keep your contacts open and on friendly terms, no matter where your political views lay. Even as I have allied myself with the Cartel, I still maintain certain.. contacts which can be bribed very easily.
I will need to talk to this Gusta, and check to see if you will be for sale after you learn some respect from your new masters.
The moral of this story? Reap what you sow.
