Muppets Inc is a new corp set up by a couple of players who decided that the best way to get a corp with enough freedom of individual expression while having good support and a focused idea of where they wanted to be was to set up their own.
We are now looking for both new and experienced players to join us.
There is a lot of information about our corp on our website.
http://muppetsinc.blogspot.com/
However, in short for those less inclined to go trawling through our website:
- We are currently based in empire space in the Lonetrek and Sinq Laison regions.
- As a corp, there is little restriction on individual activities and the corp is focused on providing mutual support in hunting, missions and mining.
- We have a good range of blueprints and offer BYOM services and refining services for all our members (we have the highest production and refining skills available among our current membership).
- There is no corporation tax or charge. We fund ourselves by a weekly 4 hour group mining operation in varying locations (of which the corp takes a cut) and there is no strict requirement to attend for every op or for the entire duration.
- Player activities as a corp include hunting, in-corp PvP, mining, mission running.
We are looking for players who want to develop their skills and learn from their mistakes (as a bunch of Muppets, we have all made mistakes in the past). Applications are generally by interview. If you are interested then please contact Finraer or Antifozzie in-game (please note that Antifozzie will not be online much for a week from 27th March due to RL issues)
We'd recommend that if you are seriously interested, that you read the website first.

I had a look at your website - information overload but looks good and the corp sounds cool.
Are you just a Caldari corp though?
Still looking for that special someone.... |

We are primarily a Caldari corp at the moment as we are located in Caldari space, however we are open to all. Drop me a convo in game (I am usually on between 7pm and 11pm weekdays and on and off during the weekend)

Another mini corp... I call these Upstarts. Everyone wants to be a director, so "hey lets start a corp" get 10 members then join an alliance. Then we can mine 0.0 and make millions.
No offence or personal hit intended here, I just think people should band together more into large corps that can actually stand on their own two feet without the need for alliances.

No offence taken.
I've been CEO before of a corp I started (for 6 months or so) but I wasn't proactive enough in getting it started at the beginning and it turned into a mining corp - not the direction I wanted to go so I left. This time round my friend and I intend on being focussed from the start. Our plans are to grow to 30 or 40 players and then see what happens from there.
I agree with your comments about corps that get 10 members and then join an alliance. If you want to do that then join an alliance corp to begin with as far as I can see.
At the moment, we are looking for about 10 members to bed in as a corp, then grow shortly after to eventually be self sufficient. We are never going to be able to compete with the larger corps out there but at 30-40 members we would hope to be able to play our part. Working full time (and a lot of my spare time it seems at the moment ) I don't have the time to devote to creating a mega sized corporation at the moment.

In the same vein as your post, no offence or personal hit intended here, but...
If you apply your logic to its conclusion, then the only corps in the game would be those founded within, say, 3 months of release, as people really should only join established corps which may not fit what they want out of EvE. Which isn't a very sensible position.
We have no intention of starting a corp, getting 10 members and then joining an alliance. This is by no means Finraer's first corp (he was CEO of another corp for something like 6 months). We are, ultimately, looking to build a corp of approximately 30-40 people which is perfectly capable of standing on its own two feet. If you had looked at our website instead of branding us upstarts from the word go, you would have been aware of this.
As I said, no offence or personal hit intended, but the implications of your post needed correcting with respect to Muppets Inc.

No, we won't give you a free cruiser but through our group mining and hunting ops, you will soon make the money to buy one.
For example, our latest joiner made 2.2mil in his share of our last weekly 4 hour op - the money is split evenly between the members based on time put in, whether they fly a bantum or a megathron.
We are offering the chance to be part, from the beginning, of a corp that has a strong idea of what it wants to do in EvE and believes that its members are the best way to get there, you won't just be one person in a 100-man corp!

I joined Muppets Inc just under 2 weeks ago and since then it's been nothing but laughs (making 2.2mill had nothing to do with it, honest ).
The other guys are fun and helpful, and since before joining Muppets Inc i had only been playing Eve for 2 days, they really helped me find my feet.
Well, thats pretty much all i got to say...just that ive enjoyed pretty much every minute of being in Muppets Inc... ----------------- "To live is to suffer, but to survive? Well, that's to find the meaning in the suffering."

Still recruiting but managing to attract a few new people.
Interested in getting involved in a corp that has a strong focus and idea of how it wants to develop?
Check out our website http://muppetsinc.blogspot.com/ or drop me a line in-game.
