In many sci-fi novels, movies or whatnot there are inspiring names, in some yet horrid and then there are the ones that grow on you, especially easy since it's left mysterious and unmolested by the Lucas script in this case.
I'd nominate jedi master Sifo-Dyas for best name.
To support immersion through inspiring names check out this thread and voice that support.

Darth Vader was really cool, till it was explained that Darth was a title and the names that followed were silly denominators of evil. I mean why not Darth Invader as it should be or Darth Insidious? Shouldn't it by this fuzzy logic also be Darth Aul?

"Vader" means "Father". I think it was supposed to be some sort of foreshadowing of "Luke! I is yo daddeh"
Correction; Vater means Father in german.

Vader is Dutch for father. Pronounced different, though.
