I'm using a Vexor, my skills are at Medium Hybrid Turret level, what's a good overal configuration for a Vexor for going rat hunting and protecting mining parties?

High: My personal favesx are either dual 150mm rail guns (named preferabl due to the ROF possibilities and low fitting)
But also annoying as it is to say, projectiles work rather well on the vexor.
Energy wepons outside of modded fucused beams are generally goign to cause you lots of trouble with either low dmg output or too high of cap consumption.
Med: Shield hardeners of your choice. Depends depends on the npc type. And a medium shield booster. No real need for mwd as it cuts your defenses.
Low: Cap rechargers. Now capacitor power relays are being nerfed, so the best units to rely on are something other than those.
Drone: You just gatta love a drone bay full of cheap reliable hammerheads.
Alot of people will say to get a thorax, or whatever, but seriously the vexor can hold its own if you follow the basics, dont get in over your head, and think. It really is a powerful ship.
Thats a real general layout, but should point you int he right direction. Just experiment and find whats best for you and dont live on the words of what people give you for layouts. Not everyone is the same and you may be a bit diffrent.

Strictly four 250mm rails on mine, but be sure you have the skills to equip as I do. Remember that drones are a vital part of your armament.

Thorax is gimped by it's small cargo hold, and you have to make compromises to fit 5 rails on it as well, leaving just its larger drone bay as an advantage over a Vexor for rat hunting, imo. The Vexor looks mighty fine as well.

Four 250mm railguns would be absolutely fine, but I don't have the available power available.
With nothing installed, I have 718 powergrid and 345 CPU. Each 250mm railgun takes 225 power and 36 CPU.
What skills or additions to the Vexor are pushing the available powergrid up?

Reactor control unit in a low slot will push your power by 10%.
That should do it, but if you cant fit 4 250mm's use as many as you can and fit named 150's for the rest of your turret slots.
