As topic says. Bare in mind I don't have skills for T2 heavy drones, just some mediums, so domi and ishtar are out I guess. Will it be better to do it in megathron or astarte? |

Angels hate explosive, only way to get explosive as gallente is with drones.
But Angels also fight close range, so a rail Mega or Astarte can do pretty good too with a couple of MFS's and TC's for added range, bring some T1 Bouncers to add some explosive ranged dmg (4 bouncers, 5 lights in a mega).

Easy, the best ship you can use is a passive shield tanked myrmidon, fit artillery with fusion ammo, use vespa 2's.

Or should do better in a raven, even if I have cruise missiles and torpedos on lvl2, and caldari bs on lvl3? |

Use an eos or a dominix with explosive drones.

t2 heavies are nice, but you don't NEED them, you could do just fine with t1 zerkers or ogres. it's still a huge amount of dps. if you still just don't want to use an ishtar i'd recommend a domi and you can still fit some guns if you want.

Why anyone will use Eos for ratting? Myrmidon have same tanking ability same bandwidth and compatiple gun output with additional unbonused turret but it will cost you 100m less.

use a domi with t1 beserkers. Does the job fine. couple of med rails for extra dps in the highs and een a salvager and tractor for the extra isk they bring.

Well I cant vouch for all these ships above as im only a beginner so dont know all the ships, plus I am Caldari. however if they do the equivelent of a Caldari Cormorant Im trolling 0.6 sec Angel rats with the following and its like driving nails through butter:
7 x Small/Medium Hybrids with Uranium and Plutonium shot
1 x salvager
1 x shield module
1 x 50mm armour
Arguably I could do without the shield and armour as I never get to use it. Im taking out 3 rats at a rate of about 10 seconds each + 10 seconds lock on.
Benefits are that the ammo is way cheaper than the missiles that some use and its way more fun. Target lock is half the time of a Cruiser too. However if I chose to ditch the shield in favour of an AB then I could reach the wrecks quicker.
I was out with a mate last night with him in his Drake and I was getting lock on in half the time as him and all nearly the kills. Sure he can scan at upteen km but thats no use if the rats warp in at 20 km, which is way inside my range

All you'll ever see in 0.6 is a couple of dumb frigs. if that's all you ever intend to do, your setup is adequate. But once you get into lower security status systems, the NPC's will squash you like a bug.

Of course lol. But then the OP didnt say what area he was in and I offered my assistance. My set up is more than adequate for the job there which is all its intended to be, and I dont think anyone would be dumb enough to go lower sec in such a ship let alone the same set up

i was using astarte with blasters. usual setup, exept I had 2 cap rech t2
