Ok I have a question about who gets to claim a kill and put it on their killboard, and what happens when there are more than one people involved but they are not all from the same corp/alliance.
Do the people from both corp/alliances post/claim the kill on their killboards, or if there is more than 2 corp/alliances do all of them put a claim in on the kill if they are listed on the killmail?
Personally I think that the person who gets the most damage in should get the kill and there for post the kill on their killboard, because if everyone claims the kill it is like the other corp/alliances are trying to make themselves look a bit better by also claiming the same kill as the person from the 1st corp/alliance that got the most damage or whatever it is that gets their name on the top of the killmail now.
So what do people think is it ok for more than one person/corp to claim the same kill or not?

Let's say you did 49% damage to someone. Would you expect a killmail? You helped!
Same way with 1% damage. You still were there doing damage to help that target go down.
Fact is: If you participate, you were in on the kill, therefore you should be represented by it.
It would be nice if we could break down per player points that are distributed via damage... but that would bring up EWAR issues etc. That's a whole nother post for eve-dev.net. _________________ Burn. |

Last shot gets it, if you want a copy of the mail ask the other guy in local or eve-mail him asking for a copy or a link to his KB. I've never refused a request yet.

yea i've even supplied ppl who killed me with a copy of my loss-mail when asked. it's just a part of eve we live with.
If you're asking who gets bragging rights, rather than who gets the mail, well that's a good topic of debate ;) -- No love for the Matari |

We were out raiding some on Sunday, and one of my corp mates outdamaged me, he was in a ECM blackbird, I was in a Vexor, I hit the enemy for more physical HP, but he still outdamaged me thanks to his EW.
On another note, KM's should always go to whoever gets the final blow. Fact is that everyone who attacks a ship within a certain period gets in on a kill mail. If you are in one system, gets attacked, escapes and jumps out with 1% hull, then gets shot once and by a third party, the ones that attacked the ship first would have done the most damage and are on the killmail, but they still didn't kill the guy. * Reavers are recruiting

Yeah thats all good but should the kill get posted on more than one corp/alliances killboard?
I understand that if you did some damage you should get onto the killmail and that is ok, but should that killmail end up on more than one killboard? __________________________________________ Don't let your FEARS Dictate where u go or what u do, use them to your advantage!!! |

What? He jammed you so he could do more damage to the target than you could?
Oh, and the participants are in damage qty order. And damage is inflicted points... Not sure what you mean by "physical HP" that was outdamaged by EW?

Yes. Killboards show the activities of your Alliance, if your alliance were involved in an engagement somewhere and helped take down thirty enemy ships then the fact that the majority of the damage was dealt by someone else doesn't mean you weren't there... Killmail parsers list the involved parties so it isn't as if you're Alliance took down these 30 ships alone... If you were there and you were shooting and the objectives were accomplished then you can claim to deserve some of the bragging rights. --
