Hey all, I tried to use eve-search but it keeps timing out on my. Sorry, I'm sure these Q's have been answered many times. I just need some basic info on locator agents & some tips on how to go about gaining access to them quickly.
1. My understanding is different level agents can locate at different distances, T/F? If so how far for each level?
2. I think that it costs a fee to use the service, how is this fee calculated? Is it a flat rate that goes up with each level of agent or does it factor in your standings in some arcane way?
3. I currently have been led to think that you must have certain levels of standing with the actual locator agent him/herself before you can use the service, T/F? I really dont understand the standing stuff in full. Which # needs to be at what level exactly?
4. Since I'm obviously no mission runner, what is the most efficient way to get my grubby hands on some locator services (for more nefarious pvp related purposes obviously, hence my using this board) are there skills I should invest in at least the first 2-3 levels of? Do I focus on one agent or one corp or will I need to spread my running out geographically?
Again, apologies for asking what I'm sure has been asked before, I swear I tried to look for the answers first. Undoubtedly not hard enough but hopefully someone can be of service on this issue.

Level 5 agents will tell you the person's address. Good for finding ex-girlfriends.

Increasing agent quality has a minor effect on the cost/speed/and frequency of the agent. You can see here.
