STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
The U.C.D.O. is being set up to counter the increasing number of pirate and player-killing organisations that are harassing both new players and experienced corporations. The U.C.D.O.'s aim is to provide protection for established trade routes, mining areas and other interests of all member corporations.
The U.C.D.O. is not a corporation, but a community of corporations that work together to defend protected systems, trading routes and convoys from pirate corporations such as m0o and The Gang.
At present the UCDO is in its infancy. Some 7 corporations and 8 independent pilots have pledged to work together toward the same end. This gives us a potential of 150+ pilots in times of need. With more member Corporations we could have a complete network of protected systems that will give any pirate, established or otherwise, pause for thought before entering.
A charter is being drawn up to protect the interests of all members and set out what the U.C.D.O. aims to achieve. Any interested parties and potential members have the right to view the draft charter prior to its finalisation. Input on policy and procedure is welcome and a precis of said document will follow shortly.

Great work Eidas. With an organization like UCDO we can share information about pirate organizations, whereabouts, and potential threats warning. Hopefully this initiative will continue to grown and we can all benefit from it.

There has recently been a thread placed on this forum called "m0o Academy". In it, m0o states that it has plans to open up bases throughout Empire space. Is there still anyone who doubts the need for an organisation to counter this threat? How much must the balance swing in their favour before people will sit up and take notice?

heh, its inevitable that Moos numbers will grow hardcore....sh*theads always outnumber the good guys in games like this after a while.

Singular, I don't believe that is true.
Those who play by the rules always outnumber those sh*theads, but the sh*theads are all following the same set of rules. The same cannot be said of the other side.

Freelancer Union is also interested about this proposal. We might be small adding to your numbers as a corporation, but the freelancer community out there is large and i hope we can get their attention drawn to this matter too.

I have linked to this thread on my corporation's message boards and I think Nexus Inc would be interested in joining this coalition. We are a 50-member corp with at least ten dedicated combat pilots.

The Independent Miners Guild (IMG) is interested in this. We have been thinking along the lines of forming a union of corps ourselves for mutual protection and benifits. We are already in talks with several corps, some equal to our size (50+ members) some smaller. We value our freedom immensly, hence our name. But now the pirates are going out of their way to attack everyone, not caring if you are independent or not. :) Please contact me in game or on our forum about this alliance.
