First Projectiles get 100% cap reduction. And Amarr Lasers have a upto 100% damage reduction when cap runs out after a minute or two.
Now minmatar get Massive Damage boost. Republic fleet ammo just shot up in price, and Vagabonds will be doing more damage! Sig locked, lack of Eve content |

Actually both Amarr and Matar got boosted since everybody have a lower explo and EM resistence...

I didn't get it either but now I see, the minmatar EMP ammo does so much more damage that it is better than tech 2 ammo now on BOTH shield and armor tanks.
so you have the right ammo for the job everytime.

Well - that does it for me -I've kept my lasers and only trained lasers, thinking they would be fixed sometime.
But since THIS is the Amar love, i'll start train projectiles and fit those on my amar ships.
Projectiles just got another edge over lasers, but this time it was an OMNI EDGE - and it will allways be effective.
EMP ammo - and autocannons... yea, that's what Amar is reduced to using after this silly idea.
If lasers are ever going to be used: Fix the DARN FITTING REQS Give the Amar ships DPS bonus, using lasers Cut capacity use on all amar ship - make it a buildin rolebonus. Reduced Cap use by 50% on all Amarr ships. Increase the tracking on pulse lasers by 20%
That would put lasers inline with hybrid - of cause, nowhere near the projectiles.. but usable.

Tbh, i fly matari on this char so this change makes me happy, but my 25 million SP cladari char now will be EVEN WORSE in PvP than he ever was.

I'm a bit sceptical about this, it seems quite a sweeping change to apply this to all ships, changing the attributes of so many ships by what is quite a large amount is going to hit some ships hard.. ..for instance, take the Jaguar used in the blog example (Gloss over the fact its an Assault Frigate and pretty much useless anyway, you'll still get the point)
Jaguar base resistances
- Before changes Shields EM - 75%, Exp - 60%, Kin - 40%, Therm - 60% Armor EM - 92.5%, Exp - 10%, Kin - 25%, Therm - 67.5%
- After changes Shields EM - 75%, Exp - 50%, Kin - 40%, Therm - 60% Armor EM - 90%, Exp - 10%, Kin - 25%, Therm - 67.5
One of the most popular setups for this ship is to fit a passive shield tank based on a Medium Shield Extender or two.. ..reducing the explosive resistance by 10% has a quite a big effect on this, what was bearly a decent shield tank will be liable to break quicker and exposes paper thin armour which has a poultry 2.5% less EM resistance than now.
I'm all for thinking up new setups, but this is a ship that has 4 Mid Slots and 3 Lows.. ..the passive tank setup was based on the high natural shield resistances, there isn't enough room on the ship to introduce a shield hardening module to cater for the change without making a change for the worse somewhere else.. ..with the base armour points, resistances and only 3 low slots theres little chance of fitting an armour tank, nor's there a chance of getting a decent speed or ew tank, so in all likelyhood pilots will end up fitting the same passive tank unable to do anything about the changes making a bearly passable shield tank even weaker.
So taking this into consideration this ends up as not only a boost for Amarr it's a boost for anything attacking the poor old Jaguar (which was never the best of ships anyway).. ..it's seems far from simple or straight forward, some ships are quite finely balanced, surely instead of sweeping changes across the board this should be based on reviewing and making changes to every ship individually?

It's really more a buff to minmitar than anything else.. but good work CCP i'm glad after years of thought going into this (or leaking out onto the carpet... whichever...) you've got a perfect solution..

Thats because those who are amarr have to armor tank. There is not such thing a amarr shield tanking. Thats just a plain fact. Hope it never changes.

Shield tanking is already taking it in the shorts because shield tanking ships do not have enough medium slots. The most medium slots a shield tanking BS has is 6. After fitting pvp required mods, that leaves them with 3 slots for a tank, which is ludicrously bad.
Many armor battleships have 7 slots low slots for tanking, and the pvp required mods just go in mids.
CCP needs to add mid slots to shield tanking ships and in some cases, power grid so they can actually fit an active shield tank.
