I've been playing for about 2 months now.. and when I started, I would play for a few hours.. get off, and go do normal things. Not once would I think about EVE after that.
But now days.. when I log off, I want to log back on and run more missions.. or, when I lay in bed.. I start to think things like, "What if I take off -random item- and put a -random item- in that medium slot"... and other EVE related things.
Has this happened to anyone else, or am I just being.. crazy. If it has happened, when did you start to notice that EVE was taking over your thoughts.

It really goes pete tong when evrything you type into a search engine is EVE related, i used to spend hours searching for random stuff.
Now its just, corp forum, allaince forum. Rinse and repeat.
It happens.
I remember my workmate turning upto work one morning near 2 years ago and he said "i've found a game, but i'm not sure you'll like it"

I guess that would cause a bit of a Rifter of a problem in that happy marriage. *** "Some would call me a Demon. Others, a Vampire. But if the truth be told, I'm a child of the moon and a Goddess among men." Free pint of blood for the Dev who agrees |

Me and a corp mate came up with a ***** scrambler for use in bars, ensuring women wouldnt escaped when being chatted up.
OMG i never thought this would happen, cheers CCP

Haha, thankfully.. I'm not married yet. Only 19. But, my girlfriend has already began to tell me I spend to much time playing EVE.. hits me when she comes over and sees me playing.
But, yes.. thank you for letting me into your crazy population.. I'll try not to noob out to much.. and, I really don't want to go back. Oh god.. what has EVE done?!

Once you get the eve bug, there is no escaping it. I've tried to go cold turkey from eve, but she keeps calling me back. I don't bother fighting it anymore.

Get your friends at work addicted too. Then you can discuss it all day so it isn't as hard to put down before bed.
It works, some.....

I dream of Eve space battles. They are always much, much more epic than the game itself.
Lately I've been winning more, guess I am becoming better at unconscious PvP...

I tried everything, jogging, arm patches, boxing, TV, reading... anything... EVE desktop icon is in the middle of my screen ready to be clicked... heck I even put it in the boot up startup folder. Almost 2 months in already and I feel I need to join a non-addictive EVE group... bah! I just need to click on that icon one more time... CU in space where I belong. - Defier Orilis. |

Hehe, it kinda reminds me of old Diablo(1). When it first came out, some friends and I played it manically. I had quite a few dreams in Isometric viewpoints, that was just awkward >.<
Never had it with EVE though, would be nice flying around the planets and the star-map in dreams though.
Enjoy, and fly safe..

Welcome to EvE .... Please remember to cancel the papers, the milk, anything remotely resembling a social life, and any relationships before you start to play.
And for all you unmarried people.... EvE costs $14.99 / month, a divorce will cost you 1/2 of everything you own. -------------------------------------------

Well, I just had my first dream of EVE.. after laying in bed, debating if I was ready to do the Angle Extravaganza, I dozed off... dream was, strange.
I was in my Drake, flying into Jita.. when out of no where, some guy in a mothership pops out, uses a smartbomb right outside Jita 4.. and takes out me and about 70 other ships. Then, after he finally gets taken out by Concord.. ANOTHER guy jumps in, does same.. podkills everyone in the area.
....I woke up laughing.
I... I think I've lost it.
