As we all know pirates are far superior to ninjas. However there seems to be some doubt in some parts of the interweb. So why not pop over to the competitions page of a truely awful MMO and set them straight.

Pirates crave the attention of others, it's the only way they can justify their own lives; this explains the flamboyance, the loud speech, and so on.
Ninja are clearly more succesful...because the ninja succeeds when nobody is talking about what the ninja is doing. And when was the last time ninja activity was broadcast on the BBC?

Double Hard Pirates > Ninja Wetboys.
Ninjas believe in honour and all that jazz, pirate is just going to blow his head whilst bows before battle. Plus pirates have battleships.

ninjas get to kill everybody, even pirates.
so what you gonna do with the girls when youre dead?
i tell you, both sides get ****** over in the end.
cause nobody gets the girls.

No, ninjae are dirty wretched scums of hive and villany. Or something like that. If it were samurai v pirates, I could go with samurai. But ninjae are just worthless nogoodniks.
However, ninjae can do this. That's pretty cool, but still not cooler than being a pirate in the bilge.

When I was in high school where I was in an Army ROTC unit ... and some one who was going to enlist in the Marines ... I remember how I got this bunch of guff from two of my Army oriented buddies.
They were also WWII Eastern Front buffs ... so they're like:
"Ha! The Marines wouldn't last a week on the Eastern Front against Tiger Tanks!!!"
So I rolled my eyes  and said (something like) ...
"So what. That's not their job. Try landing your Tiger Tank through the surf ... They are different units with a different purpose in life and are equipped accordingly."
If you want someone to attack a helpless merchant ship ... you want pirates.
If you want someone to assassinate someone - you want a ninja.
Personally - I prefer the Pie vs. Cake arguments ... at least there - you have no serious pretense that you are actually debating the merits of something but merely stating personal preference.

Ninja's were real in ancient Japan ... though ... yes ... there have probably been a lot more Ninja's in movies than there ever were in real life.

Grab a book and read on ninja's. Also grab the channel changer and watch a discovery channel. Assasin is real, ninja is made up.
