I forgot I can't use a MWD ina deadspace. I get out, go back home and fit an afterburner on the interceptor. Then I jump back into the mission, thinking: "Well, 2250 m/s should keep the damage manageable."
I pick a frigate for a target, and start to orbit at 17km. The frigate then activates his MWD, chases me down in about 2 seconds flat, webs me and I slowly explode. Ok, what the hell!?
I mean... I've seen frigates move fast in deadspaces, but not until today did I realise that NPCs CAN use MWDs in deadspaces - it's just players that cant.
That's an expensive thing to find out, costing me a Malediction interceptor in mostly t2 gear, and a significant amount of wounded pride.

It's always ****ed me off greatly that NPCs play by different rules. Not only is EW more or less useless in mission because you fight so MANY things at once (which I can accept), but NPCs are also resistant to just about all EW except for webbers and painters.
...and apparently they can use MWDs in deadspaces too. Here's a suggestion:
Make the damn rules apply to everyone, including npcs. Remove the deadspace MWD restriction - or take the MWDs away from the NPCs. Pick one. Pick ONE. Please.

I'm with you on this issue as well. There's a lot of things that can and cannot be done by players, and by npc's. For example there are some NPC's that can use torpedoes at 100km still, odd yes?

Same rules? Well I'd like to hear what you say to having to bring in 5 BS, 4 cruiser and 7 frigates to take down an NPC BC?
Think, press speak, speak!

Don't forget your drones. They would need to lose their MWDs as well.

I'd actually like to see NPCs change to not only follow the same rules as players, but be balanced in terms of damage/tank compared to players (100 DPS on a battleship?). This would probably mean that tanking 12 NPC BS would no longer be possible, and so numbers of NPCs in missions and bounties would need to be adjusted, but it also would mean not spending 10 minutes wearing down their tank. This might also have the side effect of reducing the transition from running missions (most player's first experience with combat in Eve) to PvP. |

Amen, the NPC's should fly with set-ups more like ours when out for PvP and lone players should not be taking on FLEETS of enemies. Imagine the lag reduction if we gave more bounty but you only had to fight maybe 5 really strong opponents not 60 pathetic cheating ones. +++++++++++++++ I saw the Sign...!
