[35] I enjoy a good game of chess. If there was a way to prevent chess programs from being used I would be in for this. "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." |

I believe it is also the most played game in the world, but rare in the US. I would be up for a GO game. And you know people cannot cheat with a computer because there has been a 10 million dollar reward for anyone that can write a program to be a solid amature and it has gone unclaimed for 10+ years! If you are a Chess player and have no idea about Go, here is a nice article that tells you about the game you are missing and how it compares to Chess in difficulty of mastery: Chess vs. Go and if you want to learn go, here is a great web-based tutorial: Go tutorial I was an avid Chess player, and now it is an empty game by comparison. |

[39] I'm also a fan of "Go" but I don't know many ppl who play it. I'll check around for online peddlers of Go to see if there is a third party site where we could find to play it... Suggestions anyone? Sex0r > you're bounty turns me on.. you seem like the kind of amarrian to dominate me |

[47] If you would like to hold a regular poker event, there are plaenty of online cardrooms that you can make arrangements with to host your tournament. Their tournament systems automatically regulate play and also keep a record of wins/losses to make payouts easy to reconcile. Some of these cardrooms do so free as a way of attracting potential customers. Provide them with registration lists and they will provide you with the info you need to give your players so they can sign in to the cardroom service. I play poker on many of these sites and have no problems with security issues or any violations of customer privacy agreements. I would recommend www.pokerpages.com, www.ultimatebet.com, or maybe even www.Jetsetpoker.com as potential candidates for supporting your tournament. Just thought this might be handy information for organizing a successful event. Good Luck! |

[53] I'd have to agree with Go, so much more interesting and fun than chess. I've just recently started playing (both go and eve) so I'm not the best, and I can't afford the 1 or 5 mil ISK, but I would definately suggest go if you can find enough people to play. |
