I am looking to make some money in Empire by doing missions, and I now have enough standing to start level 4 missions. For the most part I see lots of information about using Ravens for the missions.
1. Can I solo level 4 missions with an Apocalypse? Would a Navy Issue Apoc be viable?
2. Can you take Marauders on level 4 missions?
3. Can you use a Nightmare on level 4 missions?
I have Amarr BS V, Large Energy Wep V (no tech2 yet), so I would be happy if I didn't have to train caldari and more missle skills just to do level 4 missions.
Any info/tips are much appreciated.

Can you make any suggestions for a setup on a Navy Issue Apocalypse for soloing level 4 missions?

Another matter here is what are your skills like? If you have 1337 skills (eg, you can run tech 2 everything), then sure, ride that nightmare or navy apocalypse. If you can barely fire medium lasers, then fly something a lot cheaper and don't run level 4 missions by yourself. Your skills are a big unknown that can make or break (expensively) your plans to run level 4 missions.

If you got the money Nightmare or Paladin would be perfect for you lev 4 mission runnin and right in line with your skills.
I also didn't see you list Abaddon in your questions... and thats also a great lev 4 mission runnin ship.
I use Paladin/Kronos for L4's and they both make short work of rats and they are very easy to fit for since you only need 4 turrets (its perhaps the best part of marauders are the easy fittings)
If you go nightmare you will need to crank your shield tanking skills up .. if you wanna stick to armor tank go with Paladin.
PS: keep chipping away at t2 large guns... its better dmg then best faction turrets you an get only thing better are the nice officer turrets which costs an insane some of cash... so pound for pound t2 are worth wild.
